In Need of a Hobby: Station Square

@leda@ The pangolin flipped him off sneered at her friend banging on the window. Normally she mightn't have minded, but, well, foul mood and all. "THIS WINDOW IS NOT A DRIVE-THRU. USE THE DAMN DOOR."

@leda@ "NOTHING is wrong with me," Leda hissed, her soured mood evident on her face when it wasn't obvious in her tone.

Raki scratched at her nose, peering out of the window at a scene that, at the moment, very much resembled the movie 'The Birds'.

After a few moments of watching pigeons throwing themselves against the glass, she turned again to Leeds, catching a glimpse of Dash's scarf at the corner of her vision.

"Let me guess, he's not home yet?"

The slipper lobster had no clue what had been going on prior to his arrival. "Who's not home yet?" He asked.

@leda@ "I'm not hungry," Leda Rae grumbled with a snort. It was several seconds before she suddenly realized what her roommate was hinting, at which point the pangolin couldn't contain her cackle of approval. "...On second thought," she snickered, "pizza sounds great!"

The tenrec smirked in a fashion that could only be described as devilishly. "I thought you'd see things my way."

One speed dial later, Raki was sending an order to the local pizza delivary.

"Hello, I'd like three containers of garlic butter. ... Yes, that'd be it."

Elbot plopped down on the couch. "On a diet, are ya?"

"I DO I DO!!" Snatching the phone away, Leda could barely contain her giggle. This was going to be fun! Served him right for being such a workaholic anyway. Snickering and mulling over what she would eventually order, the pangolin retreived Dash's scarf and leaned over the back of the couch. "Elby, you're gonna have a LOT to eat tonight."

And not long later (as, after all, it was the local pizza place), there was a knock at the door.

The door which Deeb Rec opened with unnecessary extravagance.


"Wow, boy, I sure didn't expect YOU here, Dash! ... Did you bring my order?"


The other tenrec simply glared at her with a face that could be best described as 'you spit in my waffles', but held out his hand, showing three small containers of garlic butter.

"3 rings."


Raki tsked. "You're not really friendly to your customers..."

Elbot took off from the couch and flew over to the door, snatching the garlic butter. He then proceeded to open the containers and pour it on himself. "DINNER'S SERVED, GIRLS!" He said.

... He then wondered what the hell he was doing. He might as well go with it, he thought.

@leda@ Well, THAT plan failed. Leedz had taken the tenrec's pizza hat as a ploy to keep him from leaving too quickly. The pangolin's mouth scrunched to one side in thought, until she rolled her eyes at Elbot. "You had BETTER not drip that crap onto the carpet, bucko."

Leda Rae took a seat once more on the couch and waited for a few minutes to pass, then dialed the phone, which she still had ahold of.

"Hi, this is Pizza Place, how may we help you?" the voice on the other end greeted.

"Heeeey, is Dash around?" Leda asked, barely able to contain her snickering. "I want him to take my order."

"Uh, yeah hold on I think he just came in." The guy's voice became lower as he apparently yelled aside. "HAY DASH, PHONE FOR YOU."


"What?" There was a fumbling noise as the phone switched hands. "Hello?"


@leda@ Leda's grin was practically audible. "You forgot your hat."


There was a pause at the other end of the line; unbeknownst to Leedz, Dash had begun to grop the top of his head. "... So I did."


@leda@ "Yeah, so come back over and get it! I still have to give you your scarf anyway."


"I'll get it after work," Dash replied tersely, grimacing to himself.


@leda@ The pangolin's eye twitched. "No. NOW."


"I'm at work!" he replied. After a brief pause, he lowly added, "Besides, aren't you guys... busy?"


@leda@ Leedz didn't really even hear the tenrec's question. She'd begun to snicker, quietly, as she silently decided to go all out on Deeb Rec's idea. "Fine. You wanna work? Then I'll make you bust your ass. I'll order 3 large pizzas with pepperoni and green peppers. And every container of mustard in the store."


"..." Dash found himself speechless for the first moment. "...I don't think we even have mustard... But fine, hold on. VIN! THREE LARGE PEPPERONI PIZZAS WITH GREEN PEPPERS. ... And probably delivary. Anything else?"


@leda@ Yes... But later. You'll be back here all night, scarf boy. "NOPE, that's all! ...ish."


The tenrec just shook his head. He hadn't quite caught that last bit, but knowing those girls, it probably wasn't something he'd be happier knowing. "Okay, fine. See you soon then." Before Leda could add anything else, Dash quickly hung up the phone and went back to work.


@leda@ Clicking off her own phone and tossing it to the end of the couch, Leda Rae let out a smug cackle. "Raki, you are a genius. This is going to be soooo much fun!"

Raki lounged on the sofa.
"I'm not sure if that's surprising or not." She tilted her head to Leedz's direction. "And of COURSE I'm a genius. ... But you should of gotten a pizza with bacon, I'm hungry."

Elbot reached into malletspace, only to retrieve a cluster of rings and a credit card that said 'Elanor Abernathy'. "This is all I've got." He said, handing it to the pangolin.

@leda@ "Let me see that." Leda Rae took the credit card and looked it over, arching an eyebrow. "...Okay, who wants to tell Dash this is their real name so we can use it?" Then quickly she added, "NOT IT!!"
