APPARENTLY the fact that the Doctor was leaving wasn't enough to stop the tenrec from frantically gibbering. "WHAT-WHY- DEAD BODY?! WHAT?! TELL ME THAT'S NOT WH- DEAD BODY?!"

Poor Dash would just have to go without his explanation, for the doctor was already long gone, his footsteps all but silent beside the clattering roar of Heat's stride. As Finitevus walked alongside the metallix, his eyes drifted up toward the charred corpse in his arms. Quite frankly, he was actually amazed the thing was in one piece. Ish. The limbs were all there (of course, 'all there' included the reptile's mechanical legs), at least, to say nothing of the unsightly charred and peeling scales and incinerated bits of clothing. Hmm. What was he gonna do with him, the doctor wondered. No sense disposing of him when the organs were probably still well intact, not to mention fairly fresh. Probably just cut him up and put him in storage until he figured out what to use the tissues for... the legs of course looks fairly well intact, so he could just set those aside for a rainy day... It was too bad the hide was so damaged. A new pair of boots would have been lovely. Now what was he going to do about this little hiccup, anyway? With Talon dead the doctor certainly wouldn't have to worry about rogue behavior. He, like himself, was suspected as being the Dark Legion's leader... yes, he could definitely use that to his advantage... and his public image as well. Finitevus never understood why the reptile insisted on detachable legs, but since he had... His crippled persona... yes, he could definitely use that as a shield... As the two continued to wander through the maze-like complex, taking a few hidden shortcuts here and there, Finitevus' mind idly drifted back toward the day's earlier events. Ignoring the explosions, nearly being blown up, being swept away at the hospital, the impending autopsy, the therapy it would seem would be required for his newest subordinate... ignoring all of that... it actually hadn't been a bad day. The one saving grace keeping this wretched day from total ruin was that movie, and that girl. He had actually rather enjoyed her company - it wasn't often he found someone able to match wits with him. He'd definitely need to see about contacting her again once all of this mess had been smoothed over... Ah, finally, the lab. As the two approached Finitevus stretched his back and carefully rubbed at his eyes. It really had been a long day, and he really was quite hungry and exhausted on top of it all. Such is a day in his life, he supposed...
