Also out of view from the odd creature's sudden arrival, Sally hopped up from her seat and immediately set to work tryin to separate the boys. "Antoine, calm down! What's gotten into you?! Sonic, stand still so he can--" THEN she caught sight of 27. The ground squirrel's wide eyes managed to widen further as she oogled the beast. "What is THAT?!"

Bunnie jumped, Antoine's shriek having dealt a blow to her sensitive hearing. She snapped over to their direction. "Shadow?!" she questioned when she spotted the chimera. No... wait... that wasn't him! Or was it...? It reminded her of those strange aliens that had invaded awhile back.

"What is wh-WHOA!" Sonic exclaimed, leaping up onto his stool. Tails caught sight of it too, and with a "YIKE!", had jumped onto Sonic's back, clutching at his backpack as he cowered behind the hedgehog's shoulder. "W-what is that Sonic!?" "Besides UG-LY?" Sonic asked, "No idea..."

The strange newcomer simply blinked at the group, then turned his attention to the fries on the counter, happily scooping up a handful and mashing it into his maw. After a moment of noisy chewing, he... well, it... apparently thought better of it's manners and turned to the crew, smiling broadly and waving. "HI." Partially chewed fries fell from it's mouth. Well, it was hard to ignore screaming and yelping, so Dash raised his head from his seat, only to see... ... Not even a split second later, he fell out of his chair trying to get farther away from the creature, making some sort of sound similar to "YANKEEDEE!" This was followed shortly be joining the totem pole of Sonic, Antoine, and Tails.

Antoine continued his high-pitched whining, and for the life of him, couldn't stop trembling as if he were in an earthquake that exploded off the richter-scale. All the primal canine knew was that, that THING wanted to eat him, and that he felt safer on this totem pole of bodies than anywhere else he could think of. In fact, he didn't even fully realize that Tails and Dash had joined in. Suddenly, something wet started to patter onto Sonic's head. Fortunately, it was merely tears of terror, for the coyote had started crying.

Somehow managing to keep her wits enough to NOT join the tower of thropes, Sally meanwhile lingered nearby and carefully scrutinized the creature's actions. While she still had her reservations, it appeared on the surface that this being was not hostile, and at least somewhat sentient. The princess paused briefly to glance at the balancing act to her side, and couldn't help but roll her eyes. THESE were the men that were supposed to be her protection? At least Tails had the out of still being a little boy. Back to business. Sally turned her attention back to the strange entity eating Dash's meal, and said in the calmest voice she could create, "Do you have a name?"

Oh, she was talking to him! Grinning widely some more (some bits of partially chewed french fries falling from his maw), he happily nodded. And that was it.8

"Uh...would you like to SAY it?" Sonic asked as he gave Antoine an experimental poke to try and dislodge him.

No such chance. The poke only elicited another squeak from the frightened canine, for he was just about as attatched to Sonic as the hedgehog's quills were impaled on his stomach. Sure, any movement by the coyote probably hurt, but he STILL didn't feel like caring about being a living pincushion.

The rabbit sighed, somehow appearing less concerned about the strange creature than everyone else. Figuring Chuck wasn't going to make any appearances, and having served the customers anyway, she began shutting off the stove and other various equipment in preparation of closing the shop.

All of this, it seemed, had escaped the elderly echidna, for one simple reason... He'd fallen asleep. Of course, considering his age, this wouldn't be surprising, except to those that knew him. He couldn't explain it, but he just felt EXHAUSTED. Of course, the shrieking was waking him up, and Bunnie closing up the shop finished the job, causing him to raise his head and blink in confusion. Of course, his eyes snapped open completely once he saw the alien hybrid standing nearby, but gave no response besides a hiked eyebrow. This really was a strange place.

Well, it apparently had a name. And given that it'd answered her question when asked, that had to mean that it was at least somewhat intelligent. Leaving the spire of her courageous escourts to piddle themselves on their own time, Sally strode to the creature's side. While she moved confidently, the princess still operated with a sense of caution. "I'm Sally," she said as pleasantly as possible -- and admittedly slower than she usually spoke. "What is your name?"

The creature canted it's head as it regarded Sally, still continuing to chew noisily. After it's 'moment' of thought, it pointed to Sally. "Sarree!" And then to itself. "Twenny Seffen." Another grin. And more partially chewed food spilling onto the floor. "... Friend?"

Sally couldn't help but smile, if a bit awkwardly. This creature seemed docile enough, not to mention kind of child-like. "Yes," she replied with an exaggerated nod, "I'm a friend." Meanwhile, further down the street, an autumn-haired human seemed rather... shifty and nervous. Her eyes darted rapidly from one thrope to another, anxiety clearly covering her face. She even physically jumped away from several of them. They all look tamed, but... None of them have collars. Is this the sort of stuff Dash was telling me about the feral world?! Phoebe frantically wondered. As a passing zebra accidentally bumped into her, the young woman let out a shrill yelp and plastered herself to the nearest wall. One of these things is going to rip my face off, I just know it!!

That was... a really, really weird looking creature, but it didn't seem about to bite anyone's faces off, so... he tactfully removed himself from the totem pole. "..." The alien creature eyed the others, than suddenly leaned in to... give them all a good sniff. Apparently personal space wasn't that strong of a concept to it.

Sonic, much to his relief, would suddenly find himself with much less weight on his shoulders than a split second ago. One of the causes? Antoine fainted, falling onto the concrete with an ungracious WHUMP, small dents and a few punctures lining his arms from where he had grabbed onto Sonic.

"Hey hey, watch who you're sniffing pal," Sonic said, taking a gentle hold of 17's nose and moving it away as he tried to sniff him. "It's...funny looking Sonic," Tails said from behind the blue hedgehog. "No kidding, little bro."

The metal grate that protected Chuck's shop from the outside world after hours fell with a clattering roar. A few extra clicks signified it was now securely locked, and a moment or so later Bunnie appeared outside the stand. Placing her hands on her hips she scrutinized over the scene and pondered over what her next move should be. Her eyes fell on Sally - particularly, the ridiculous combination of the rabbit's skirt and Antoine's vest she was wearing. Nodding to herself she nudged the princess to get her attention. "Hey there, hon," she said. "We need to be gettin' ya'll some better dress'n that."

"Hey, what's wrong with the way Sal dresses, Bunnie?" Sonic asked, eyes still locked on 27, until he took a quick glance in their direction that reminded him what she was currently wearing. "Er...how she USUALLY dresses, I mean."

The tenrec paused, suddenly seeming rather far away as one of his ears turned to the source of a certain sound... That sounded like Phoebe, but what would she be doing here?Turning to look at the source and assure to himself that it wasn't Phoebe, he found ... it really was. Blinking with wide eyes, he suddenly shouted, jumping for joy. "PHOEBE!"And then bolted down the street. ... On all fours. The alien creature also blinked in surprise, but, having seen the tenrec leave... promptly ate what was left on Dash's plate. And then tried to work on the plate itself. Mmm. Salty plate.

Suddenly, there came a faint groan from the comatose coyote. Slowly, Antoine opened his eyes, and saw Sally leaning over him. Still quite dazed and obviously forgetful of why he had fainted in the first place, Antoine smiled goofily; eyes half-mast. "Ahhh, moi preencess... 'ou arre so lookeeng 'voutifool..." he mumbled, leaning his head onto the squirrelmunk's knees. Nevermind the fact that it was in public and that he felt oddly sore at the moment.

Oblivious to Bunnie's ire, Sally smiled with relief when Antoine regained consciousness. "Oh thank goodness! Are you okay? How's your head feeling?" Since he'd rested it on her lap anyway, the princess took the liberty of inspecting his noggin for bruises or lumps. In a strange environment, one must keep a level head if one is to take care of oneself. So when Phoebe heard her name bellowed and turned to find an albino beast charging head-on and jumping for her throat with teeth bared and claws extended, she did what any calm and collected young woman would do. She screamed at the top of her lungs and collapsed into a flailing mass on the sidewalk. And quite possibly peed her pants.

While Tails jumped down to join Sally in looking over Antoine, Sonic just gave Bunnie a funny look. "Why not?" he asked again, "I know you and...you probably like to dress...nice, and stuff, but what's wrong with Sal wearing plain styles?"

Two things tugged at the rabbit's attention at that moment. Her first instinct was to turn in reaction to the scream, but it seemed as though Dash already had that covered... which struck her as odd. Tearing her focus at that point was Sonic's comment, to which she greeted with an arched brow. "... Good golly, you pervert! Ain't you got a lick of sense of how to treat a lady, or did Amy whack ya'll too many times in the noggin'?!"

Seeing the overlander collapse on his approach, the tenrec skidded to a stop (causing his palms a slight bit of roadrash in the process, unfortunately) before getting to his feet. Approaching slowly and peering down at the woman, he blinked with baffled surprise. "Phoebe? Are you okay?"

(Okay, since I just cannot seem to determine if she's too frightened to take notice of his voice and him knowing her name or not, I'm leaving this up to fate. ONE SHE RECOGNIZES, TWO SHE WETS HERSELF.) [dice=2] (Sorry, Jamie. No weeing on the tenrec for you.) Despite having curled up into the fetal position and encased her head in the shield of her arms, two things caught Phoebe's attention in that moment: that the beast had said her name, and that it sounded awfully familiar. ... Okay there was a third thing, too: it had yet to slash her to ribbons and devour her liver while she watched. Parting her forearms enough to peer between them, the human woman found herself perplexed; that voice had been uncannily similar to Dash's, but Dash was darker, more earthy colours. She may have released him back into the wild quite a while ago, but not so long ago that she'd forgotten what he looked like... Yet he matched her beloved tenrec in every other way. Could it be possible that something had happened to him while in the feral world that changed his colour?? Pushing herself into a sitting position, Phoebe's eyes widened considerably. Different colours or not, she knew her beast when she saw him. Except when he charges at her. Even if his features and voice and mannerisms hadn't given him away, the collar barely peaking out from behind his hoodie sealed the deal. Almost unwilling to believe what she was seeing, the florist held out a tentative hand and squeaked, " ...Dash??"[rand=02609154542914662759944855093136896993007309849433677376378055623]

Luckily, all the princess could find was a small bruise from where Antoine had landed on the ground, along with a tuft of fur missing. If there was pain in the area, Antoine apparrently didn't seem to mind. "... Moi head? ... Hmm, I am to be feeling a leetle owwie- but eet ees nothzeeng 'our nobel guard to not be hendleeng~" Antoine replied, pointing into the air with regalty. Of course, the rest of his body was happy laying next to Sally.

"Can you stand, Antoine?" Sally asked, latching hold of his hand and rising to her feet to pull him up. She still hadn't really taken notice of Bunnie and Sonic's... misunderstanding.
