One of Bogert's observational droids seemed to appear in mid air. Glancing around, it made a small humming noise. The surroundings weren't familiar, but readings did affirm that this was, in fact, the Chaos dimension instead of the strange new one that he'd been investigating. It seemed as if the portals had no rhyme or reason, and that even going into one and then coming back out of it wouldn't lead you back to your original location. The droid hovered there as Bogert pondered over the thought, until suddenly... the lense of the droid was suddenly splattered by a glob of sticky black gunk. Though alarmed, Bogert remained in place- visual input was out of commission all of a sudden but the other sensory functions weren't, and panicking would probably cause unneeded damage... And a very strange creature indeed crept up to the machine, plucking it quickly out of the air and examining it throughly. Whatever it was, it wasn't anything he was really familiar with, and probably didn't belong to the doctor. Maybe it'd be a good idea to show him...? "Dear sticky thing that is touching me, please stop it, signed, the thing you are touching."

At that moment, Finitevus happened to be wandering by, clad in one of his usual black lab coats. He paused when he had heard a voice speak and glanced over toward the chimera. "What have you got there, Facade?"

The mutant shrugged and held out the orb shaped robot to the pangolin, obviously not caring much for it and quite glad to pass it off to someone else. It tasted faintly of cleaning supplies. And... Bogert heard another voice. " Am I in Britain? Chip chip cheerio, please assist! Hello?"

The pangolin arched a brow as he was handed the bizarre little orb and gave it his own visual examination. He nose wrinkled slightly at the inky venom it had been covered in. "... Hello," he said after a moment of hesitation. "What is this thing, some sort of spy unit?"

"So everyone assumes, but..." Bogert paused. Technically, it was an observation unit which... pretty much was the same thing as a spy unit. Oh well. "Nevermind that. My name is Bogert, and you'd be... a lot less sticky then the last person that was holding me. But other then that I don't know." Facade frowned and shifted to a duller shade of grey instead of off-white. He wasn't sticky. Things just... tended to... get stuck to him. ... Yeah.

Fini turned a nonchalant glance at Facade before turning them back to the droid. "... Hmm. Quite. So then, Bogert? If you aren't a spy unit... what would bring you to my humble little abode?"

"Explaining that would take quite awhile. It'd be easier to show you. ... Could you wipe this gunk off of me? I can't see."

Curious, thought the pangolin. Quite curious. "Ah, yes, yes of course. One moment please," He reached a hand toward one of his coat pockets and produced a handkerchief. After a moment he had wiped away a good majority of the sticky black substance, but unfortunately, probably not enough to be very effective. "Hrm. Afraid that's the best I can do off hand without fetching a solvent," he shrugged, tucking the handkerchief away into hammerspace. "Now then, about how you got in here?"

"WELL..." now that the robot could see again, or at least, partly see, it tugged out of Finitevus's grasp and hovered, looking at the surroundings for a moment before popping an arm out from a hatch to pick up a nearby wrench. He then tossing said wrench in the direction he'd originally come from. Hitting the portal (and causing a small flash as it did so), the tool seemed to disappear in midair. The droid hovered in place for a moment, then pointed at where the wrench was last seen, and where the air seemed to ripple in a strange manner. "That's how." STARE.

Fini blinked. "That was one of my good wrenches." he then frowned. "How in the world did you manage to open a portal without a warp ring?" he approached it slowly, though not getting too close, and examined it.

"Wasn't my doing. Besides that, this isn't the only one. They fluctuate a lot, though, so it's hard to get any solid data on them. You should see what's on the otherside... or don't... people shoot at you there..." A short pause. "Sorry about your wrench."

Finitevus frowned. "People who shoot at you, eh? And where exactly does the portal lead to?"

"Mobius, apparently. Where exactly on Mobius, I don't know. Your wrench might be in a swamp somewhere... sorry again."

"... Moebius? Isn't that the name of a video game character?"

"... yes? ... it's... apparently also the name of a planet, though."

"A planet named Mobius? Hmm," he wondered briefly about that. No planet he'd ever heard of was named Mobius. He turned back to the droid and gave an unamused look. "I would ask if you'd come from this 'Mobius', but I can tell from what you've said you're not. Where, then, did you come from?" he paused. "Besides through that portal."

"... not from around here."

You can bet that got an unamused frown. "Elaborate."

The lense of the droid flicked to and fro in a way that could be described as 'nervously'. "I'd rather not."

The unamused look subtly began to turn irritated. "Oh, I'd rather you did."

"Yes, but I'd ratherIgonow BYE" And the droid made a break for the portal. And was promptly drenched in more black sticky goo again, as Facade spat at the robot and plucked it out of the air. "... this droid will self destruct in 5, 4..." And just as promptly dropped.

The pangolin's eyes widened a bit and he immediately backed away, curling into a scaly ball.

Aaaand the mutant had already tipped over a table and was hiding behind it. Though he couldn't see, Bogert took that the crashing sound of the table being tipped over meant that everyone had ran away from him when he said that. Hovering back off the floor, he continued to count down, though slower now. "3...2..." Tuning his sensors to detect the portal, he made a run for it... or, actually, more of a float for it. "1. BYE." And the droid was gone. Facade peeked from behind the table, giving a confused blink while he wondered where the 'kaboom' was.

Finitevus uncurled his head enough to look around. The lack of explosion and damage caused his eyes to trail over toward the portal, causing his expression to flatten. "... Why didn't I see that coming." He pulled himself to his feet and dusted off his lab coat, walking back over to the still-open portal and studying it. "Mobius, eh? Hmm," he said, then opened the com-link kept on his coat. "Dash, report to the main lab," he scrunched his lips. "And bring a safety harness and some rope with you."

A few moments later, Dash arrived carrying what was asked of him, and looking rather nervous- when he'd received the message he knew already that he probably wasn't going to like whatever it was about. Glancing around at the room didn't exactly help either, seeing as one of the tables was tipped over on it's side and everything that had been on said table was now split all over the ground- broken glass and a fair amount of chemicals everywhere. Somewhat like a mini war zone. "... what happened here?"

"... Facade happened." he gave a glare at the mess and cleared his throat. "Actually, we just had an intruder who appeared through that--" he pointed at the portal sitting in the middle of the lab. "--Who just threatened to explode and escaped back through it, apparently to a planet called 'Mobius'." he took the rope from the tenrec and proceeded to begin tying it around one of the room's support beams.

Facade decided now would be a good time to disappear (literally). ... and to get away from the broken glass and chemicals. Seeing as his octopus-like limbs had a mind of their own, he wouldn't want any of them to pick anything less then desirable up. Actually, the ceiling seemed like it'd be the best place at the moment... so that's where he went. The tenrec gawked at the portal for a moment. "... what is that? A portal? ... How'd it get here? Isn't Moebius the name of a video game character?" Dash glanced over to Finitevus for a moment, and a much more important question suddenly jumped to mind. "... what's this stuff for, anyway?"

"Yes, I have no idea, I thought so too, and you have three guesses, two of which don't count."

And Dash simply... frowned. "... I'm not the 'lucky' volunteer, right?"

Finitevus burst into laughter as he finished tying up the knot securely. "That's a good one! Of course you are." then his expression turned dead serious. "Now put the harness on."
