Wolivier smacked her forehead. "Of course!" She took it and stared into it for a long moment. Then she smiled again, tackling the dragon a second time. "I'VE MISSED YOU!"

Back to the ground they went. Sora smiled and hugged his friend as he said, "I missed you too! What are you guys doing out here?? This is more like a place for a Dragon to hang out with all the lava around here."

"Actually," she said, "This is where I was born and raised. Out here is where most of the game is. I live in the way back of the mountains where's there's snow! It's really cold, but, the lava around here keeps the caves very warm. It's relaxing." Then she gasped, bolting up. "Father!!" She looked down at Sora and asked, "Could you please take this meat and follow me? I was suppose to bring food to my Father but we've been fighting that horrible bird! We must hurry back!!"

The chao, being a TOTAL DICTATOR, scrambled up Sora's legs and back, resting on top of his dragon head. "Chaww!" She was quite content with her perch. Besides, she hasn't seen Sora in... a while.

Wolivier nodded and winked at Kiki. Then she got down on all fours, strangely, and bolted off, scaling mountain sides and dangerous cliffs with ease. But non of this was what was on her mind; it was if her father was okay. She reached the cave, using much effort to make it inside the high perch, and glanced around. The wolf shook the snow from her fur and found her dad resting. He was breathing fine. She sighed, smiling and scratching her ear. "Thank goodness," she murmured, moving toward him. His nose suddenly twitched and he sat straight up. He reached out and pulled her down, sniffing her fully. Hunter: "You smell like smoke and ash," he grumbled, pulling rubble from her tangled hair. "You should be more careful." Wolivier laughed, "You never miss anything! And your nose is still as keen as a wolf in its prime!" She wrapped her arms around him saying, "I brought another friend. I am very grateful to him and he has helped me so much. Please don't be frightened." Hunter: The old dog laughed, patting Woli's head. "Oh, daughter, nothing can scare these bones."

At that time, a loud thud was heard outside the cave followed by the sight of a large silhouette of a dragon, wings outstretched and throat glowing. The dragon was holding a deer in it's arms, and made it's way carefully into the cave. The rise was a tad low for him, so he tossed the deer in and walked in on all fours. He growled in pain and curled up in a corner nearby the fire and said, "I hate snow... so cold..." and it was at that point he noticed the older wolf. Raising his head from his curled up position he said, "Oh... forgive me... I am Sora. I trust that you are related to Wolivier?"

Hunter: The old wolf choked up a bit, startled and amazed. Suddenly, he gave a hearty laugh, shaking his shaggy head. "Now I've seen it all." He shakily rose up and walked over to Sora. He laid a hand onto the dragon's shoulder and nodded, "Yes, I am her proud father. Please, take good care of her. She is still young and the last of our kind..." Wolivier blushed slightly, grabbing her dad's arm. "Father, you should take it easy! And i'm not that young!" Then she helped him sit down saying, "See, dad? He brought food for us! It's a deer. We haven't had deer in a long time, eh?" Hunter: He nodded in approval. "Yes, deer are further out," he sighed quietly. She kissed her dad on the forehead and went about making a fire. "I know you could probably toast it," she said to Sora, "But please allow me to cook for you this time." She smiled, pulling the dead animal toward the flames. The she looked at Kiki and winked, "As well as for you!"

In response to Hunter announcing who he was, he did his best to stand upright in the small cave and bowed to the older wolf. "It is an honor to meet you, sir." he said as he bowed and he continued with, "As long as I'm alive, I won't let anything happen to her. However, you are right to be proud; she is quite formidable herself!" That being said, Sora curled back into the tightly knit ball he was in. The dragon smiled, seeing his friend interact so lovingly with her father made him feel less cold. Or was it the chao curling up on his backside underneath his wing that promoted the added warmth? Perhaps both. The dragon was absolutely overjoyed to be back with his companions again.

Wolivier cooked carefully. The meat took a while to turn brown but when it was done, the scent of the carcass was undeniably flavorful. She took her time cutting it into fair shares, giving Kiki a smaller piece which was relatively big considering the chao's stomach. The largest piece went to Sora and she said, "Sorry, it must be like an appetizer to you!" She laughed as she gave the final two slices to herself and her dad. "Dig in!" she piped, knawing into the deer joyfully.

The dragon smiled at recieving the meat, and laughed with Woli about her comment on the size. However, to Sora, this meat was a godsend. He had been starving ever since his rations went dry, and without any money (thanks to Faulko) he had no funds to buy new stuffs. So hunting was his only option, and all he could do to 'cook' things was blast it with some fire and hope it didn't come out to crisp or to red. His glee could be heard as he said, "This tastes amazing... I had no idea you were such an amazing cook!"

Wolivier giggled, winking at him. "In the mountains, you have to fend for yourself! I'm the mother and daughter around this house. I'm in charge of taking care of myself and my father which includes hunting, cooking, salvaging, picking herbs, making simple medicines and just... staying alive. Still, it can be pretty fun despite the demands." She was glad to hear Sora enjoying his food as well as Kiki. But she noticed her dad eating slowly. "Everything okay?" she questioned. Hunter: "It's a dream," he murmured. "It's got to be." A tear stroked down his face, into his old, ragged fur. Wolivier rushed to him, giving him a grand embrace. "Oh, Dad, I'm here for you. I promised I would be. It's okay!! Shhshh. Just eat. I have much to tell you when you're done, okay?"

Sora watched the enitre scenario unfold, and it made him feel uneasy eating while something like this was going on. So despite his hunger, he respected the moment that Wolivier and her father were having. He was curious, however, as to what exactly was going on. Would he ask though? No. It was not his place to know. Instead, he lay at the entrance to the cave, as if to protect it's inhabitants. Nothing would get by his watch, provided that he had something to say about it.

Wolivier made sure that Hunter finished off his food. She noticed how tired he was and promised to tell him more about her adventures when he awoke. After he was asleep, she moved toward Sora and smiled lightly. "He doesn't believe I'm really here," she said quietly. "Apparently, he figured I'd be dead by now. When my mother left, she simply never returned. We heard that she'd died by one of her companions but for all we know, she just disappeared from our lives. I'm afraid my dad thinks that, with such a long absence, i'd disappeared, too. Plus, he's probably surprised at how well I cook now!" She laughed a little before continuing, "It's been years since I've been home. I left when I was fourteen, afterall. This is my first time back. I don't blame him for giving up. I promised to come back as soon as I got any information. The truth is, I was afraid to come home to tell him that I'd found nothing and that if there was anyone who had known, they're long gone. "Knuckles, the only Guardian, wouldn't remember anything if he was there. He would have only been a kid, like me. And I'm afraid to tell my Father that I made friends with him. Wolves are suppose to be very bitter toward echidnas. But I can't find it in myself to hate Knuckles. I don't know him. I can only respect him for being so strong toward his duty and his honesty. And for being such a good fighter. I probably still have bruises from where he hit me in our fight!" She found herself smiling, remembering all that had happened. "But..." She sighed, "I'm glad I continued to adventure and fight. I had been alone for so long... and now I have Kiki. And you!" Wolvi suddenly blushed and exclaimed, "Oh, no! I'm rambling!! Sorry, I really should ask before I vent!!"

Sora smiled softly, and scooped up the wolf in his arms in a hug. "Don't be silly! You don't have to ask whenever you want to talk about something." he said. He let her go and put his large paws on her shoulders as he continued, "You're dad loves you very much. I don't think he ever lost faith in you... in fact I think he's held on all this time on his own just waiting for you to come back because he knew that you would. I may be mistaken about this but, I also think that he would be quite proud of you for being able to put aside your hatred and respect Knuckles. He had nothing to do with what his ancestors or their wrongdoings, and you understood that and were able to become his friend despite the odds. I would be very proud."

Wolivier smiled, taking Kiki from Sora's head and holding her (just the way she liked) and replied, "I hope so." She suddenly yawned, putting Kiki on her own head so that she could stretch her arms. "Well, I'm going to rest. You can do whatever you want Sora. The mountains are beautiful. They must look amazing from the sky." She winked and went to lie next to her dad, like she used to, and sleep.

"Goodnight, Woli." the large reptile said as she went off to sleep. "Have fun, Kiki! I'll be back." That said, the dragon walked out of the cave and looked around. Snow. Everywhere. He was kinda cold, but his fire membrane warmed him quite well. He stretched his wings, arms, and tail before he went down on all fours and lept into the sky. He took off towards the highest mountaintop he could find and perched atop it. Surveying the area, he nodded and said to himself, "She was right... this is beautiful." The moon was out despite the sun still lingering in the sky, and the dragon looked up at it. He remembered a time long ago when he and his friends would roar at the moon when it was full. He held onto that memory for a few moments, and looked down shutting his eyes. Suddenly, his head whipped back and he stood on all fours as he roared at the moon, the roar echoing throughout the mountains. Sora at last felt like he was at home.

...
"Is someone there?" Wolivier scrunched her eyes, trying to tear through the darkness that was surrounding her with her vision. It was so black that she wasn't even sure if she was existing... She bit her hand a little to check.
Check. She was still alive.
Wolivier looked up suddenly as a rock flipped. At least, that what it sounded like. A pebble scrapped across the ground... or... claws? Yes, it sounded like claws walking along the ground.
Toward her.
The wolf backed away, growling lowly. The scrapping continued to near her without hesitation. "Not a human... a human would run," she spoke silently. The claws stopped before her. Still, she could see nothing.
Four claws, no, five, touched her face gently. She flinched at the touch, backing out of it. But as soon as she did, they shot out for her, grabbing her cheeks and pulling her close. The darkness finally blew away and her face was in the chest of...
She closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around this man. He murmured something inaudiable.
"What?" she asked, looking up. But as her eyes fell upon the face, all she could see were silver eyes and then...Wolivier gasped, sitting up dizzily. She scanned the area. A white chao standing guard, kinda cutely, at the mouth of the cave and a steadily breathing wolf next to her. "Where's Sora, Kiki?" she whispered to the chao, clumsily walking toward her. The dream seemed to elude her memory as she pondered the where abouts of her friend. The cool air from the outside soothed her and she sighed. It was good to be home...

((Sorry guys! I had no internets until late last night! D:)) The dragon meanwhile was still perched atop the highest peak in the area, surveying the scene. His ears picked something up... and he quickly moved to the side as a bomb flew past him, blowing up somewhere below. Without turning around he said firmly, "Didn't get cooked well enough the first time duck?" Bean the Dynamite, who was still missing some feathers from his most recent scorching, stood there with a maniacal grin on his face. "You're strong, and very big. You would make a WONDERFUL explosion. So tell me reptile, how does the cold fit you? Feeling lethargic? Slow? Out of... 'breath?'" Sora flinched. Yes, the cold of the area practically prevented him from being able to use his fire breath without great risk to himself, and it also made his movements slower and less precise. However, he wasn't about to let that duck harm his friends or Woli's father. So he had no choice but to get rid of him. Turning to face the half-feathered quacker, Sora arched his back and extended his claws saying, "I'm still more than a match for you, and once I'm done you'll be on the menu in a fine resteraunt in Station Square." The duck pulled out another bomb and lit it saying, "We'll see about that, dragon!" [dice=8] [dice=6] Sora narrowly avoided that one, while closing the distance between himself and the duck, attempting to claw him. [dice=6] Bean's dodge: [dice=8] The foul's training in Tae Kwon Duck paid off, and with Sora being slowed by the cold he was able to dodge the attack. He taunted the massive reptile, "HaHAHAHAHAquakckHA! You're slower, as expected! What will you do now, hahaha..." Sora thought for a moment. He couldn't do much here with the cold being so intense. He needed...heat. Lots of it. Then he got an idea... "Keep up if you can, you derranged dinner platter!" he taunted as he took off flying towards a mountain. It worked. The duck followed suite rather nicely, and chucked a few bombs for the hell of it while he was following the big lizard. Then the duck saw Sora do something unexpected: he divebombed INTO a mountain at an incredible velocity, making a tunnel into it. The duck followed screaming, "YOU WONT GET AWAY, YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!!" Bean made it inside the cave the dragon had made, and to his horror, it was filled with lava and the dragon was nowhere to be found. It was hot in here, and the duck thought about leaving to save his hide but... A large boulder suddenly sealed off the only exit and there he stood, eyes and throat glowing a bright blue. He spoke, "So, now the tables are turned duck. You won't leave here alive. I let you escape last time, but you obviously have no sense of self-preservation. Since you seem so intent on harming others, I'll see to it that you never do so ever again." The dragon went to all fours, and charged into a wall of lava. His thick skin protected him from the heat, and a large boulder hurled out from the lava at the duck. [dice=8] Bean's dodge: [dice=6] Bean again dodged the boulder, only barely though. It exploded next to him, and lava chunks splattered everywhere. Part of him marveled at the sight, but the majority of him was terrified. "PLEASE, don't kill me!! I was only trying to serve you and your friends by giving them a glorious explosion!! Why can't you see that??" A voice emitted from somewhere in the cave, saying, "Not everyone wants to die from an explosion. You are insane, and you need to be stopped. If your death is the only way for this to happen, then that is what will occur here." Sora's rage was hot, meaning that the jewel Wolivier was wearing would be hot as well. It wouldn't be long before she knew something was up.[rand=126412181590818466617022137707649687045645814318437390461194270286]

Wolivier gave her a small smile. "I think we need to go find Sora, Kiki." She looked backed, a little concerned, at her sleeping dad. "He'll be okay, I think." She walked out of the cave and closed her eyes. She could tell were Sora was and she didn't like it. The last time she had gone to the lava parts of the mountain, she'd almost gotten seriously hurt. She winced at the thought, but, pushed it aside. "That was when I was little," she told herself. Then she was running and jumping down the mountain side, heading Sora's way.

Sora, meanwhile, had taken to interrogating the duck. He kept thinking to himself, Maybe, just maybe, I won't have to kill him...Bean on the other hand was freaking out. He couldn't tell where the dragon was, nor could he take this heat much longer. "LEMMY OUTTA HERE!! I'm a DUCK not a dinner platter!! I don't wanna be cooked!!" Bean screamed. He frantically began tossing bombs around in an attempt to make an escape for himself, and possibly deal with the dragon. "It's no good, duck. There is no escape from this cave unless you and I come to an agreement. I can get you out, but you need to swear on your soul that you will not come here again in an attempt to hurt my friends or myself. If I grant you this mercy and you do make future attempts on our lives, yours will end. Are we clear?" Sora appeared as he finished, emerging from a nearby pool of lava. Sadly, Bean's small brain size combined with the utter terror that he was experiencing combined to make a madman. One who madly hurled bombs in all directions. Three of which flew at Sora. [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=8] [dice=8] [dice=8] Sora barely dodged the first one, which got him out of the way of the second, but the third one hit him in the stomach blowing up and sending him flying into a pool of lava. He quickly surfaced, barely scratched by the explosion and realized that the duck was going quackers. "Shit!" he said aloud. "What now... he isn't in the right state of mind to be logical. I can't kill him like this... but I need to stop him from leveling this mountain!"[rand=412241779572190297638368963952434380670986078839516005417653343434]

Wolivier made it to the area. She instantly began to choke on the hot, steaming air. "Sora?!" she called, "Where are you?!" There was a loud noise and a rumble. "An explosion?" she wondered. Then she remembered the green duck and fantically began to search for their where-abouts. "SORA?!"
