Selling on the Black Market, Station Square

[Mage's Brother]

Eri picked up his phone. The underworld had many connections, and he knew some of them. One of them, was just such a customer that would LOVE to purchase a Hedgesicle. Eri dialed the phone number to Eggman.

[Jamie Lee]

RIIIIIIIING RIIIIIIIING!

Metal's vision blipped on. He muttered something in binary as he checked his energy gauge. It was recharged enough to suffice.

RIIIIIIIING RIIIIIIIING!

Metal twitched in irritation. Why hadn't anyone picked that up? ... Then it donned on him. Since when did Eggman have a phone? Who the heck had Eggman's number?! Hissing angrily the metallix slid off his recharge table and headed toward a computer, yelling a binary command to answer.

"Who are you?" Metal asked curtly.

[Mage's Brother]

"AH Yes! Is this Eggman's base? I am calling about a business proposal."

[Jamie Lee]

Metal paused, steadily growing more annoyed. "... How did you get this number?

[Mage's Brother]

"Why of the Black Market of course! That wondeful little Blind Chao in the closet just needed a little persuasion, and viola! Is this Eggman? Like I said, I have an item in my possesion that he would find VERY VERY interesting."

[Jamie Lee]

The feeling of irritation persisted. "We do not want any."

[Mage's Brother]

"Oh really are you sure? It is an EXTREMELY lifelike Ice-Sculpture of your greatest enemies...You DO catch my drift don't you?"

[Jamie Lee]

And that caught the metallix's attention. "... Extremely lifelike, you say?"

[Mage's Brother]

"Heh. THOUGHT that might get your attention. Let's just say that if you melted it down, it would be breathing down your neck." Then Eri thought for a moment. "Actually I had intended on selling you the Fox. I might have use for the hedgehog. Non-destructive uses mind you. But my prices are still...rather lofty. But I ask you to consider the value of the goods themselves."

[Wez]

Zizzle really had no idea what he was doing, or what he was going to do when he worked out what he was doing. He looked around at Scythe, then around at the city.
"I think we lost him ..."

[Jamie Lee]

Metal tapped his face in thought, creating an audible clinking sound that echoed dully off the walls. "How do I know you are legitimate?"

[Mage's Brother]

Eri clicked send on a photograph. It downloaded on Metal Sonic's end showing Eri making a goofy face with a frozen Sonic and Tails in the background.

[Jamie Lee]

Metal just rolled his eyes. "That proves nothing. The photo could easily be doctored. I need proof more... solid than that."

"I think I'm agreeing..." Scythe's mouth thinned as he spoke.

[Wez]

Zizzle looked downcast. Then he perked again.
"He is very unique looking. We must just ask people if they have seen him and where they saw him go!"

Eri twitched a brow. "Well what do you expect me to do? Show him into a paper airplane and fly him over?! Shove him into a scanner and hope his head pops out the other end? Why don't you send us a ride, or a scout! Or even better, why not come yourself! Geez! Looks, it's a frozen Hedgsicle. And if you're not interested, then I'm sure one of my other contacts like Alexi Dimitrov will be VERY intrested in buying the set."

[Jamie Lee]

Metal twitched, an immediate run flag shooting up. This guy knew Talon? "Now let us not be hasty. I am certainly interested, however I will require proof. I will come to verify your information. I will then discuss further negotiations with you in person. Where should I meet you?"

Zizzle started stopping random people and asking if they'd seen anyone fitting Eri's description.

[Mage's Brother]

Eri took note of Metal Sonic's reaction. 'Talon' had been the magic word. Eri loathed the idea of selling Sonic to Dimitrov, AKA Talon. He was a fool much too obsessed with taking liberties with people's DNA, and scanning robotic blueprints at every opportunity...WHAT THE HECK DID HE DO WITH THEM ANYWAY! Talon hardly ever made robots, it just didn't make sense!

"The Station Square Chao garden. I accessed the Black Market through there. I'll be waiting." Eri gazed down with a disgusted look at the chao what was sitting next to his foot. "Shoo! Go away!" Flowers started blooming around the Chao as it gazed lovingly at Eri. "PLEASE HURRY!" He said over the phone.

[Wez]

The third person told Zizzle that he'd seen someone fitting that description heading into the chao garden a while back. Zizzle had no idea what a chao garden was. He turned to Scythe after thanking the man politely.
"What's a chao garden?"

[Jamie Lee]

The metallix winced. A chao garden. In other words, somewhere public? "... That is fine. I will be there shortly."

Metal made a binary command at the computer to hang up, then paced back and forth beside his table for a moment. He doubted this person's sincerity. And Station Square was the last place he wanted to be right now. But still... It was worth looking into. He turned his attention toward a tool chest in the corner of his small personal space and took to rummaging through drawers.

He pulled out a black trench coat... Nope, a little too conspicuous. A moment's more rummaging produced one of Eggman's coats. WAY too conspicuous. A lacy pink bra found itself tangled around his talons.

"... Where the 01101000 01100101 01101100 01101100 did this come from?!"

He quickly shredded it and tossed it at the nearest waste basket.
Finally he produced a handsome looking hooded maroon trench coat, deciding that would do he grabbed a pair of dark sunglasses, stuffed both into his hammerspace and headed out toward the submarine exit.

"You've never heard of chao? They're these cute little blobby animal things that like to hug animals and sing. People often raise them and keep them in public gardens," he paused. "Chao usually don't like me."

[Mage's Brother]

Eri Shuddered. Chao were gathering around him and singing songs. "That contact had better get here soon....I don't know how much more of this I can take!"

[Wez]

"Oh! That's nice ... let's go there," Zizzle smiled cheerfully.

Metal skimmed along the ocean surface, Station Square coming up into view. He veered up sharply and soared over the city looking for a suitable place to land.

Finding a vacant alley he made a dive for it. Sure that he was alone he pulled out his coat and glasses and pulled them on to conceal his identity. Somewhere in the back of his mind common sense insisted he should have come to Eggman first before doing this, but... a little too late now. He glanced over and hummed at Talon's handiwork at the beach as he made his way toward one of the hotels.

Ding! an elevator chimed as Metal took the one leading for the chao garden. A moment later he stepped off, now glancing around for the black creature from the photo.

"Umm, sure, follow me," Scythe didn't like the idea. It's not that he didn't like chao, but they really did have a way of not liking him. What with his awkward blades always hurting the poor things.

[Mage's Brother]

Eri was not nearly as meanacing looking, standing in the middle of a Chao garden with 10 or so Chao crooning their song at his feet. Neverthless, Eri shoved the iced prisoners forward a bit, keeping a claw ont hem at all times. "Have a look." he said. "And I'm interested in a rather large sum of money for them." Then added..."Ehm..but I would rather keep the Fox for myself...if you don't mind."

How flay this guy was, Metal thought to himself. He couldn't even decide which one he wanted to keep for himself. Stepping forward the metallix examined the two closely, running a scan over them for their vital signs just to be sure. He found himself quite impressed.

"You need not worry. The hedgehog is the main concern," he paused, "... May I ask how you acquired these?"

He looked down with an annoyed expression as a chao wondered up and cuddled his leg. Metal growled, kicking it off. It immediately burst into tears.

[Mage's Brother]

Eri tried to hide his pride as best as he could. "Well, I defeated them both of course. We had a fight, I won, and froze them in ice." He leaned a bit closer. "I am crook mind you. I won't try to hide it either. Honorable enemies and dishonorable friends you know." Eri held up a sheet up paper with a rather large sum on it. Enough to buy his own island. "Like I said, its a bit steep...but it's worth it...and don't try to run off without paying either. After all...I did defeat the famous Sonic." Eri gave a wicked grin. The thought of making front page news was almost reward enough.

[Wez]

Zizzle looked around with interest as he followed Scythe, taking a moment to absorb his surroundings, despite the gravity of the situation.

This was the part Metal had been anticipating. He wasn't exactly sure how he was going to haggle this though. Taking the sheet into his claws he examined the numbers. The amount of cash this guy was asking for was staggering.

"Quite a fair amount of rings you are asking for, Mr...?" he trailed off, not only did he not know this strange creature's name, but he was stalling for time until he could get something planned.

Scythe began to descend, taking him and Zizzle down in front of the hotel that overlooked the beach. "It's just inside and up the left elevator." he ran toward it, the hotel door whisking open automatically.

[Mage's Brother]

"Eri. But no 'Mister' thats not my style. And yes...it is expensive...but the hedgehog was not easy to capture." Eri desired the money...bur he felt strangely obliged to ask for his secret desire. "If...you can't pay in rings...I have always desired to be able to use...Chaos Abilities...if you know what I mean."

((Yes I know Metal Sonic has no Emeralds. Dun worry. XD I do state that Tails was able to make a fake one though. >.>;)

Zizzle ran after him, passing through the turning doors, then looking back at them, intrigued by the design, then heads to the lift.
