The door to the room of a certain Dark Legion...recruit slid open, allowing Inari to stride in silently. He walked around the bed where Anansi lay, noting the various cybernetic parts that had been added to her. He scowled slightly, knowing that this was the person who had the gall to hack the system that HE'D set up. Well, if she wanted to play in the big leagues...he could certainly oblige her. "Wake up girl!" he growled loudly.

The spider girl's eyes opened slowly, and she realized first that she could only see out of one of them. Odd. After that, she realized that there was a very angry looking wolf glaring at her. He must have been the one who woke her up. Which she did NOT appreciate. " M'name's Anansi. Go 'way."

"Oh I already know who you are girl, EXACTLY who you are," he emphasized, moving around to stand at the foot of her bed. He'd decided to read up on what info they'd gained on her while he fabricated a replacement eye. "And personally I fail to see how someone with your...adequate skill set could have done something so... stupid as to have hacked m...our network."

A small smirk crossed her face as Inari questioned her intelligence. " I was bored. Hacked your system over lunch, was gonna go after GUN by dinnertime." A weak chuckle escaped her as she twitched the fingers of her still organic hand, although she had yet to realize how much of her wasn't organic anymore.

"I wouldn't be so flippiant, girl. If you'd been anyone else you'd probably be dead, or at least dying, by now. As it is, you're still lucky you're not. The master used a few...experimental procedures on you. You're lucky they seem to have worked out."

Anansi simply stared at him for a moment, then actually GIGGLED. " Tell me y'arn't talking about the crossdresser." Her small giggling fit continued. " Although if he did it, it might explain why I can't feel my arm... or my legs... And m'half blind."

"Unfotunatly, his...hobbys...aside, the master hasn't yet perfected bionic components that allow for full touch sensations." He leaned forward, bracing himself on the panel at the end of her bed, the talons of his right hand clicking against the material. "And laugh while you can. You're in the Dark Legion now, and I'm going to make sure that I personally have a hand in overseeing your training."

And Anansi? ... Not impressed. She frowned slightly as he leaned forward, feeling a little more awake now. "We can talk about training after you find yerself some lube, and yank that stick out of your-" She cut herself off, before a sharp, almost harsh laugh escaped her, and she continued. "And I don't know WHAT you think you can teach me. I'm pretty sure that you'll end up learning from me."

There was a scraping sount as his metal claws dug into the material of her bed a little, but other than that Inari didn't rise to her goading. Instead he smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? I didn't realize you'd already had a neural data uplink...installed before. I hope you're skills are up to par, it'd be a...shame if some security program fried that spunky little mind of yours, cause that's what happens if you mess up on our level of networking."

Anansi blinked in confusion, and brought up her organic hand to feel on her head for anything that REMOTELY felt like it belonged on a computer. Finding nothing, she looked the wolf in the eyes. "A neural data uplink? What, so I can surf the web just by thinking about it?" The spider snorted, unamused by what she felt was a bad joke on Inari's part. "Y'know, if we're gonna be tossing insults and threats back and forth, I'd like to know who my opponent is." A malicious grin crossed her face. "I always like to know who I'm showing up."

"That is the...basic idea, yes," he admitted. He straightened up. "As for myself, I am Inari. And you haven't shown anyone up yet, missy. Had I been personally overseeing the system at the time, you would have been ejected from it so fast your own system would most likely have been crashing before you realized what was wrong."

Anansi actually tried to sit up at this, as she started to glare at the other hacker. "You really think so? I wish you HAD been online when I hacked your system!" A small smile crosses her face. "Tell you what. Once I know how to use this... uplink... thing, we'll face off. You and me, Hacker Queen to newbie." Anansi smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Then we'll see who's the best here."

Inari just grinned, showing fangs, this time. "I'd wait until after your survive your training. Then, if you manage that, we might see about putting your boasts to the test."

The spider snorted softly as she crossed her functional arm across her chest. "Hmph. I'll be hacking circles around you within a week."

"If you survive," he said. He turned to go. He needed to remind the master why he would be the logical one to oversee her training...

"'If you survive.'" The spider mimicked as Inari left the room, waiting till the door closed behind him before she spoke again. "Jerk."

Luckily Inari wouldn't need to go very far, for it seemed Finitevus had already had the idea to come in and check in on Anansi himself. His eyebrows raised a bit seeing the wolf exiting her room. "What were you doing in there?"

"Just...getting aquainted with the new recruit, master," he responded innocently. "And since you're here, I would like to request that I be put in charge of her training."

His brow arched a bit. "She's awake?"

"Yes. Awake, moody, and currently in need f an attitude ajustment," he informed Fini, "We certainly don't need another Lance around here..."

Inari may as well have stopped talking after the word 'Yes', for upon hearing that confirmation the mad scientist pushed his way past and swept into the room the spider in question was currently being held. He took a moment to gauge her level of consciousness before grinning widely, showing off his sharpened teeth. "Ah, my dear Anansi!" he said, throwing his arms out as if to hug her, "So good to see you awake."

The emphasis on the word "awake" was NOT lost on the hacker, who simply blinked at him for a moment. As if a cue for her to respond, an eyebrow then raised up, accompanied by an answer. "Why Fini, I didn't know you cared. I can call you Fini, right?" Anansi took a moment to rummage around on the bed with one hand, testing an assumption beyond not being tied down. Aha, there we are. Anansi grasped the reclining controls for the bed, then decided it'd be easier to just push the buttons where they were. With a quiet whirr, the upper half of the bed lifted a little, so Anansi could see Finitevus better. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you didn't expect me to wake up at all." Not that I expected to even still be BREATHING. But eh, details.

Inari just sighed to himself and followed his master back to the room, staying in the doorway for the moment as he talked to her.

"I didn't," he chuckled, walking closer toward her bedside, "And coherent too! But then, I also didn't expect you to even survive. You're a stubborn little girl, aren't you?"

The spider girl smirked at Finitevus, the fingers of her good hand twitching slightly, as if on an imagined keyboard. Subconsciously, the Anansi leaned (or TRIED to lean) a little away from the approaching pangolin. Even as part of her wanted to scream, and try to run away from the doctor, Anansi just gave a curt nod, the smirk never leaving her mouth. "Some people would tell ya being stubborn is a good trait for the Spider Queen of Hackers." Oh she liked that title, yes she did. Even if it had, at first, been self-granted. Now everyone... Well, almost everyone called her that. She really WAS gonna teach this Inari guy that you don't threaten Anansi and get away with it. Usually.

Returning his own smirk, Finitevus chuckled. "It's an admirable trait indeed. Tell me, how do you feel?"

The spider paused as she considered the question, her organic eye flicking down to see that her right arm was mechanical, and she could assume more of her was, too. "Like half my body decided it doesn't wanna talk to me anymore." Anansi's smirk never slipped as she continued. "Issat normal, or should I be filling out a will?"

He shrugged and grinned rather nastily. "Well, there is nothing to say lethal complications can't still occur."

Anansi just stared at Finitevus, not in fear, but more... just not remembering to blink, until she finally did, her smirk only slipping a little. If this conversation had been a day or two ago, she would probably have been more worried, but as it was... "And here I thought you'd gotten all those 'complications' out of the way earlier." The hacker flexed her hand a little, before she continued. "Guess I'll just have to be a good little patient and stay here then, in case I... short out or something." She again eyeballed her mechanical arm, an eyebrow raising up again. She'd heard of cyborgs, and even seen a few, but she'd never thought she'd be one... but if that Inari guy wasn't kidding, then this would be pretty cool if it worked. The whole "getting kidnapped, stabbed, blown up, and griped at by a pissy wolf wannabe" could've been left out though. That would've been cooler.

"Oh, shorting out isn't your only concern. There could be as of yet unforeseen brain damage, damage to your spine even though you're an invertebrate, the potential risk of meningitis, chance of infection..." he leaned against the bedside, idly examining one of his hands before glancing up at her. "And various other complications. Shall I continue listing them? Basically, rocks fell, you died, I put you back together." he smiled. "I also added and removed a few things for my own amusement."[rand=808338248619184492339387848350264319812265967375447819867413218886]
