And THAT took the wind out of the spider's sails. After that all set in, the spider just shook her head. "I... I think I'll just take your word on it..."

Fini chuckled. "Good girl. Now then, are there anymore snarky comments I should hear before we get down to business?"

Anansi's eyes fell to her prosthetic arm, which she tried to get to move, with no success, before she rested her organic hand on her stomach, feeling lines of staples that probably ran all over her torso through the thin fabric of the sheet. "... No... I'm done... I just wanna know something." The girl's head stayed down as she considered how to word this question, until she looked back up at him. "How much of me is still..." The spider lifted her organic arm, looking at it again for a moment. "How much of me's still flesh and blood?"

"Hmm," Fini glanced up at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Oh, I'd say... probably about 35% roughly. I said I had to put you back together."

Anansi's eyes widened, and she stared a little incredulously at the pangolin next to her bed. " Thirty-five percent... I'm more machine than spider, then..." And for a moment, the girl really DID seem to just be a teenaged girl, as she looked back down at her mechanical limb, like it was a symbol of how drastic her transformation was. But as quickly as that expression came, it was gone, replaced again by the somewhat cocky Anansi Fini'd been talking to only a few minutes ago. Her eyes firmly focused on the doctor's face as she spoke again. "You said something about getting down to business?"

"Ah yes, that," Fini idly rubbed at his chin. "Well, futile as your effort to threaten and intimidate me may have been, I find your audicy, and more importantly your hacking skills, to be quite impressive. As I see it, you have two choices available to you. You can either join my organization and put your skill to work for me, or spend the rest of your life, however long or short that might be, as my personal plaything to poke and prod and experiment on," he paused long enough to chuckle, "Well, more than I already have that is. What do you say?"

The spider smirked a little, and asked a question that seemed pretty simple to her. "And what exactly is it your "organization" does, Fini? Besides try to kill people." Because if it turned out he worked for some private jerkwad who she'd rather ruin than work for, she'd take the (additional) poking and prodding, thanks. Even SHE had principles.

The pangolin merely smirked. "You're the one who hacked my network. Shouldn't you already know that?"

From the doorway, Inari gave disgruntled snort at the mention of her hacking the Legion's network.

The girl's smirk just widened, whether at Finitevus' response, or to Inari's reaction to it was unclear. "Lemme see if I remember... 'To overthrow the government in the belief that it is corrupt and has no right to control the population, no matter the cost,' right?" The spider ALMOST giggled, but that hurt, so she stifled that urge. "It sounds like what I've been trying to do myself. Sure, I'll join." Anansi rested her hand on the edge of the bed, ATTEMPTING to offer a handshake, and frowning as she noted her failure to do so. "Assuming I'm ever able to get out of this bed."

Finitevus almost frowned - almost. He caught himself quick enough. He hadn't expected her to answer in quite that manner, but regardless, he pushed that thought aside and smiled. "Excellent. Welcome to the Dark Legion, Anansi. As to your being bedridden..." he shrugged, taking that as his cue to begin checking over the equipment she was attached to as if for emphasis. "Give it time. You're looking forward to a lot of healing and therapy."

"And of course...training," Inari added.

Anansi turned her head slightly to watch the doctor, before closing her eyes, her head returning to its neutral position. "Could I at least get a laptop? I have ONE good hand, so I can still use it..." Anansi was starting to get antsy without computer access, her good hand again fidgeting, as if typing away on a nonexistent keyboard. She'd had a great many people who's lives she was going to ruin, that she hadn't gotten around to yet. And she REALLY wanted to get around to it. It was fun tormenting people without ever going near them. Physically, at least. But to do that, SHE NEEDED A COMPUTER. AND INTERNET. Thus, fidgety Anansi.

"Yes, and training," the pangolin stated, acknowledging Inari. In response to Anansi, however, he just shook his head and waved a finger at her scoldingly. "Tut tut. If you feel well enough to use a computer then you're well enough to begin therapy on your arm,"

Inari just grinned menacingly from beneath his hood.

Anansi blinked at the doctor, then sighed softly at the idea of therapy. Man, that word didn't even sound pleasant. This is gonna suck. So hard.
