About a day after their infiltration of that strange Tenrec girl's PC, Inari once again headed for Anansi's room. Upon arriving outside her door, he forwent the door buzzer and instead knocked loudly with his cybernetic hand.

Startled awake, Anansi sat up quickly, looking around her room, taking a moment to remember where she was. That done, she grumbled, moving to climb out of bed and change. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, y'fox wannabe." She sighed, pulling on some civilian clothes she'd been pleasantly surprised to find the day before. That done, she then opened her door enough to glare out at the wolf. "What."

Inari didn't immediatly answer, instead taking a look at her outfit. "Good, won't have to wait for you to change," he remarked. "Let's go, it's time for the next part of your training."

"Next part?" She blinked, then looked down at herself. "... Whadda my clothes have to do with anything!?"

It was about then that she would notice Inari himself wasn't dressed in the usual legion robe, if she hadn't already. "Even using cybernetics camoflauge, you wouldn't want to be wearing robes outside," he told her. "...Unless you're telling me you'd rather go without any clothes."

"You think I'm some kind of exhibitionist?" The spider grumbled, although she began following the wolf. "... Wait. Cybernetics camouflage?"

"You were the one complaining about clothes. And yes, or did you think we just went outside as is? It would be rather conspicuous, wouldn't you think?" As they walked, Inari gave his arm a strange twist and suddenly his cybernetic parts were replaced by rather ordinary looking limbs, save his eyes, the pupils of which were still a bright red, even though they otherwise seemed normal. "Now, let's go," he said, pulling out what looked like a miniature ring from his robes.

"Whoa, waitaminute!" The spider protested, looking Inari over. "How'd you do that?" She then looks at her own arm, looking for some kind of control or... something.

"Don't tell me you're looking for a physical switch?" Inari asked condescendingly. "Our cybernetics are far more advanced than that. You activate it through your interface."

Anansi paused, and glared at the wolf grumbling under her breath as she closed her eyes. " Look at me, I'm supposed to train this girl about the things that she isn't familiar with, but I'd rather piss her off until she crushes something that can't get replaced with prosthetics." After a moment though, her form flickered, and she looked... normal. "There we go."

At that moment another of the base's occupants - a teal wolf - was wandering his way through the base's maze-like halls. Slowing down as he passed by, his eyes drifted over Inari and Anansi, and within a moment realized they were both wearing their holograms. This cause him to halt altogether, raising his brow quizzically. "Hey," he greeted. "Where're you guys off to?"

"Out," Inari told Lance, and then proceeded to ingnore him. "We'll also be testing your wireless capabilities, as well as introducing you to the warp rings," he told Anansi, "Now lets go." He turned, resuming his walk down the cooridor.

Hiking an eyebrow, Anansi followed the fellow hacker. "Warp rings? I know what a warp ring is, the use 'em for trains." She frowns. Him thinking she didn't know that kinda stuff? Really? EVERYONE knew about those.

The teal wolf's lids lowered to an annoyed glare for a brief moment, then shrugged, following along after them. It looked like they were preparing for an outing, and he figured he could use some fresh air. "He's talking about our personal warp rings," Lance answered in Inari's place.

"Don't you have some female to go sexually harass...besides her?" Inari asked.

"Not unless you've got some dark corner to go brood in," Lance answered without missing a beat.

Anansi snorted as she walked with the two wolves, flexing her camouflaged hand curiously, seeing how quickly the system reacted to sudden changes in her limb's position. Without flailing it around. She was starting to thing she could tolerate this Lance guy though. ... Maybe.

"Hmmph... However, yes, I was talking about personal warp rings." He stopped at a door and went through it to a large lab, then headed over to a small storage locker. "Each of us is assigned one," he continued, opening it and removing a bracelet sized gold ring. "Do NOT lose it." He then held the new ring out for Anansi to take.

Taking the ring, Anansi twirled it on her finger, resting her other hand on her hip. "So... what now? I say 'open sesame'?"

"Please, you watch too many movies," Inari said scornfully. He took out his own ring. "You simply program in the settings for the location marker you wish to go to. The rings are programmed wirelessly." He held his in his hand a moment, silently setting it to the marker for Central City. Then, with a flick of his thumb, he tossed it in front of them, where it grew to a full size portal that would lead into a discreet alleyway.

*KABOOM*
@heat@ A pair of heavy footsteps rumbled through the air, though not quite as loudly as the plasma charge that had just blasted right between the wolf and spider. Heat's sensors whirred loudly as he struggled to recalculate his trajectory, then charged up his right arm a second time for another shot.

Any answer Anansi had was cut off by that explosion... and the stream of curses from her before she saw the source of the blast. After which she dashed towards the ring. "GET ME AWAY FROM THAT THING!!"

Inari barely flinched as the charge detonated behind him. He gave a disgusted grunt as Anansi fled through the portal before glaring at the robot. "You stupid scrap- ...Stand down! Initiate diagnostic procedure alpha on IFF software!"

Similar to Anansi, a yelp and a string of curses followed the explosion as Lance dove for the nearest cover - the same warp ring the spider had fled through.

@heat@ The hot cannon remained pointed at the spot where Anansi had stood a moment before, sizzling with the charged energy for its next shot. However, Inari's command had thrown the objective into an erratic syntax error; two procedures struggled against each other before blanking out entirely. Eventually Heat released a long, unnatural sounding electronic groan, followed by a dollop of plasma flopping out of the end of his poised arm and making an ungraceful (and destructive) "splat" onto the floor.

Inari gave an exasperated sigh. "...Repeat last command then report to the doctor for updates...and have him send the new guy to fix the floor."

@heat@ A dull echo emitted from the metallix's shell as something began to click from within in rapid succession. One loud grind and several blips later, Heat finally managed to break his offensive pose and walked away as instructed.
Through a wall.

"..." Inari just sighed, then turned and stepped through the gateway after the others. They would find themselves in a desserted alleyway somewhere in the depths of Central City. "Pathetic," Inari muttered about the other two as he arrived. "I'm glad that wasn't an actual combat situation..."

"That bot has it out for me." The girl grumbled, as she started walking towards the entrance of the alley, her hands sliding into her pockets. "Besides, I'm not a fighter. I'm a hacker. I don't need secondary skills to be useful, like some people."

"If it were an actual combat situation, I'd have shoved you in front of the %$#ing piece of trash," Lance snorted, now having put his hologram on as he idly stretched his back.
