As it turned out, Dr. Finitevus' base was a lot bigger than Sally had expected, and as a result the princess had spent some time just meandering the halls. Normally she had a pretty good sense of direction, but something had gone wrong this time around, and the ground squirrel never did make it back to the lab. But that was fine, because one of the places she ended up in was the shop, where the good doctor happened to be. "O-oh," Sally said in surprise before laughing sheepishly. "I'm sorry to just barge in, sir, but I think your attention is needed. A girl rushed suddenly into the office and attacked Lance... I think someone needs to intervene, but I doubted there was anything I could do myself."

What the hell she thinks this dump is? Shortfuse caught up with the young princess, making sure this suspicous doctor doesn't try anything funny. He was quite annoyed that the girl decide to go off on her own in this place.

Finitevus, at that moment, had been sitting at a small desk inside the workshop focusing on both a laptop and looking every few seconds over at a large computer. On the computer he was monitoring energy readings, while on his laptop, unable to contain his excitement from earlier, popped in the disk containing the information on Jonas and began to look over the schematics. Ever since learning of the robian's origin, he knew he simply had to see how he worked. An organic being turned to metal - it was just too intriguing! As he scanned over the torso he found himself in awe. The mechanical structure actually seemed to mimic everything from the nervous system, to the internal organs, at least in appearance. Why, if he could apply any of this to his own technology, it could be a breakthrough! In the following minutes his expression went from excited, to intrigued, to surprised... to downright puzzled "This can't be right..." he muttered to himself and he began to more closely examine the structure of one of the robian's arms. It looked familiar. Alarmingly familiar in fact. Quickly he pulled up the schematics for one of his own arms and began to compare the two. His expression went blank for the briefest of moments, only to be replaced by even more puzzlement. Aside from only very minor differences, the two were nearly identical. Straight down to the robian's screwdriver-tipped fingers. He glanced down at his right hand, idly switching the fingers into tool formation. He had a wider variety installed besides just screwdrivers of course, plus the extra weaponry he'd installed, but beyond that... "... Hmm." The pangolin glanced over at the computer, then blinked. Suddenly putting the strangeness of the robian aside he leapt up to get a better look at the computer screen. His eyes became wide as a phenomenally large energy reading had just been picked up. Immediately he switched his fingers back into their normal mode and began to rapidly type on the keyboard, pinpointing the location where the reading was coming from. And that was when Sally stumbled her way into the room. Fini halted what he was doing and glanced over at her. He hadn't been expecting anyone to barge in on him, least of all her, so needless to say he probably looked pretty annoyed. He glanced at the computer, at Sally, then at the computer again before giving an aggravated growl and stepping away "Arg, Julie..." he muttered, grabbing his laptop and closing it, then tucking it away into hammerspace he took to walking quickly past the two out of the room and into the hall beyond "Come on, come on, quickly. Augh. I can't be bothered with those two right now!" he said distractedly, muttering things mostly to himself as his pace gradually quickened.

Sally stepped aside wordlessly to let her host pass. Given that he seemed irritated more than alarmed, the princess guessed that this was a recurring problem around the base, and decided to leave it at that. Glancing up at shortfuse, the ground squirrel nodded toward Finitevus and followed after him a distance behind.

Whatever, Shrugging, the metallic squirrel followed the furry squirrel, leaving the unmoving robo squirrel behind. Wow, so many squirrels!
