Somewhere on the outskirts of Soleanna City, there was a rather nondescript building, about three stories tall, or so it seemed. In reality, the structure was much larger, extending deep underground approximately seven floors. It was in one of these deeper levels that a small, glowing capsule waited, a figure silhouetted in the glow of the capsule's status lighting.
No one currently was in the same chamber as this capsule, and outside, everything was rather quiet... For now.

Unfortunately for the city, there wasn't going to be any peace on -this- day... At least, not within the confines of the rather important R&D Facility that lay undisturbed... High above the building, a lone little craft sat in midair, being driven by one nasty villain. Despite how obvious this approach seemed, the craft was actually covered by the secure blanket of a cloaking device.. And so, the villain sat, undetected in the skies of Soleanna, planning something... something that involved that little facility down underneath him... And who else could this person be... ... but Eggman Nega? Yes, the maniacal madman of the Sol Dimension hung silently in the skies with his Neggmobile, plotting something within the confines of his super-smart mind... A finger scratched absentmindedly as his chin, as he examined the blueprints of the facility below. Eggman Nega was no fool. He always planned out his assaults down to the finest detail. The only flaw in this maneuver was that the man was too prideful to lay out a Plan B, on the off-chance something went amiss... Hence a key reason for his usual failures. However... That wouldn't happen today. Oh ho ho ho ho... no. In front of him, on the main controls for his Mobile, was set a keyboard of... awkward proportions. However, Nega seemed to know his way around the piece of machinery, as his giant fingers danced across the keys with quick precision. After a few minutes of mad typing, the man chuckled, and hit one lone 'enter' key. --- What happened next could have been anyone's guess. All doors to the facility seemed to, at once, explode with humongous force, sending sparks, debris, and flame in all direction. At this point, quite a few ranks of no more than ten robots flooded the hallways from all new access points to the building, Gatling guns blazing, and missiles firing in all directions. Total chaos was being strewn about the facility. Not one of them were clueless of their main objective; Find the Android. And that is exactly what they had set out to do. Pandemonium had ensued.

The explosions rocked the structure, and soldiers assigned to protecting the facility attempted to fight back, a losing battle against the numerous robots.
Unfortunately, one particularly furious firefight led to a major circuit breaker being hit, triggering a sudden shutdown of all the systems in the base... including the capsule deep beneath the surface.
WARNING: Stasis Capsule power off line, initiating emergency activation.
A soft hum came from within the capsule, as the figure within opened his eyes, which seemed to quite literally flash as his Sol Drive activated.
ALERT: Enemy units detected. Initiate combat protocols. Weapon testing. Motor function testing. Sensor systems, nominal. Sol Drive: Minor disruption detected. Drive still functioning withing optimal parameters. The figure's arms for a moment seemed to ignite, a pair of curved energy blades now extended from the armored limbs, after which he flexed his fingers, bringing his arms up.
Test complete. Searching for mission parameters. . . No parameters found. Fuzzy Logic circuit active. Mission established. Destroy all Nega artificial units.
And in a blur of motion, the figure had slashed his capsule apart, the flashes of light revealing for a moment his design, intended to look like a Manx cat. A moment later, the figure had activated a set of sphere-skates built into his feet, and had bolted out into the hall, to locate the nearest group of robots.
Blitz had activated. This was gonna be one HELL of a field test.

But there wasn't just a response from within the facility - Nega would be unwise to assume that there would be no retaliation to this act. Standing atop a nearby crevasse, a lone figure's attention was drawn by the explosion. Rix's brow furrowed. Damn it... if that's Nega, then... what's happened to Blaze? He shook his head; no time for worrying. Time for action. He leapt off the cliff, curling himself into a sparking ball as he hurtled toward the source of the explosion.

The robots under Nega's command continued to assault the resistance with the utmost effieciency, not backing down for a moment from the troops. Several zoomed past potential fighters, and descended a floor or so down, towards the core of the entire facility. An abnormal energy signature had been detected, and they were going to head right for the source.
The mission; Find the Android, Detain it, and Bring it Back to Nega.
Those were their orders. But would they be able to handle the task...?

Blitz turned a corner, rebounding off the corner to continue moving, as he saw a group of Nega robots moving in on him.
With a small frown, the Android suddenly began spinning on his 'skates', becoming a whirlwind of energy, headed straight for the robots.

Rix had arrived at the entrance, following the robots inside... apparently a battle was already taking place! Were they ransacking the facility? No matter, they burn just as well no matter what they're doing. With a shout, Rix extended his arm outward, bolts of lightning traveling to each of the machines in his eyesight. The robotic warriors that were within range of Blitze's attack stopped in their tracks, and realized that, for some reason, their quarry was right there, and-- [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] A small group managed to evade the maneuver, but for another few, they weren't quite so lucky. As the android barreled through, the machines practically fell apart at the joints. Not without explosions. though. There were plenty of those. In fact, they were actually similar to the mechanisms of actual -bombs-. This was a technique devise by Eggman Nega in the event that the robots were destroyed in the heat of battle. The small group that Blitz had crashed through had exploded on impact, and he was within range... [dice=6] [dice=6] As for the ones that got out of his way in time, they simply aimed their gatling guns, and shot off several shots. Their only mission burned into their artificial minds; Subdue the Android. --- Meanwhile, there was another sort of retaliation amongst the group of android scavangers. If that wasn't enough, the new attacker was sending off sharp surges of electricity in an attempt to destroy them. They all stopped what their were doing, and faced the new assault head on-- [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] A few Negabots were blown to pieces from the surge, especially with that added-in self-destruct mechanism. However, since the assailant wasn't within range, he didn't come to harm. There was a robot that managed to actually -absorb- the electricity that was fired, and in a counter-attack maneuver, sent a volley of bullets in Rix's direction, each pepper with a piece of his own power. Uh oh. [dice=6] --- Nega was keeping an eye on the many 'security' cameras of his robots. A touch feature on his screen allowed him to pan through the many robot-eye views that were within the building down below. All he could do, really, was grin wickedly as he watched the two new attackers try to subdue his cold, metallic minions. But it wasn't just because there were those who thought they were a sort of threat... It was because his quarry practically saved him the trouble of -searching- for it. "Ha ha ha ha... I love the security around here. They always seem to bring to you what it is you want! Kind of like a fast-food restaurant where everyone is -entitled- to the adage of serving -you-... Great work, King of Soleanna! Ha ha ha, the fool... This kingdom will belong to me, and this... is only the beginning!"[rand=961094115673240235498121595741483978265402195484403063877605585169]

Blitz was about to dart of of the way of the incoming fire, his momentum having carried him out of blast range, only to have his body suddenly lock up.
Error messages blazed across the android's vision as he was pelted with bullets.
ALERT: Motor function system error. commands unable to reach limb control system, auto repair online.[/i]
Blitz stumbled back, his body freeing itself from the nearly catastrophic glitch in his system, before he readied himself, and dashed forewards, this time intending to dismember a single Nega robot with a flurry of precision attacks.

[dice=6] Luckily the bullets carrying his charge gave him the ability to change their course - the bullets peppered the wall behind him, almost leaving a tenrec-shaped silhouette of himself. He responded immediately by curling up into a sparking ball, flinging himself toward the robot at high speed. [dice=6][rand=57339699142275513858723267973972545474912608137930944235078115917]

Rix was able to barrel right through a surge of the oncoming Negabots. However, what he hadn't counted on was a terrible force that was unleashed the moment that they were ripped to pieces; A self-destruct mechanism that had been installed within all major parts of the death machines. The mechanisms, of course, reacted violently to Rix's attack, causing a nasty set of explosions to rock the compacted corridor; Something that probably wasn't very promising for the foundations of this particular facility. (Laying a diceroll down in case Rix ever responds to this one.) [dice=6] --- Meanwhile, the one robot in particular that Blitz was krieging did not hold up for very long. In moments, it had been torn to shiny metal pieces. Shiny metal pieces that sparked. ... Shiny metal pieces that also decided to self-destruct the moment they were ripped from their joints and sockets, just like the ones that Rix had assaulted. [dice=6] Nega continued to watch as his genius was put into effect. Surely it would only be a matter of time before the android decided to come out into the open to find the source of all of this chaos. And there, Nega would be waiting for it, ready to quickly abduct it and away to his base of operations for further tests. The doctor was torn; It was quite entertaining watching it try to put up a struggle. Nega knew, however, that surely, once it was under -his- control, he could make it even better than before, and ensure that it would follow nobody else but himself... Yes, surely this was a plan that was -only- fit for a genius such as himself! "Just a little longer, soldier boy. Once you're in a weakened state, Dr. Nega shall take control of the situation indefinitely!" [rand=23766881425950814335714325559115493904212381642958994344943354812]

Blitz narrowly avoided the explosion, coming out the other side unscathed, and skidding to a stop. After a moment, a new "order" from his fuzzy logic circuit came up.
Primary Objective Changed: Locate and apprehend Eggman Nega.
It seemed Nega may be getting his wish. And more than he bargained for.
The android immediately more or less ignored the Nega Pawns nearby, and, using an internal map of the facility, began moving at full speed for the surface, assuming he would find his target there.[rand=5224400901548956708876247387861950261254195347166244001943984813]

The doctor raised an eyebrow. From what his 'loyal' subjects where showing him through the video feed, the target in question had suddenly changed course, and shot off like an arrow. it was headed somewhere specific, and quite fast, too. Nega laughed. He knew -exactly- what had happened. His identity had been discovered, and that robot was making a total beeline for his location outside of the facility. To Nega, this only meant that his prize was going to practically fall into his lap! On his mobile, he had it equipped with a multitude of lethal weaponry, but only a few had the qualities of a weapon meant to immobilize, rather than dismantle. One such weapon happened to be a cannon of some sort, which slowly emerged from underneath the Negamobile, decorated with a spiral design of multicolored lights along the turret. The ones closest to the base were beginning to glow, and soon after, the lights right above those. The doctor was charging up a stun gun of epic proportions, and he would be lying in wait, close by the most likely exit point, ready to fire at a moment's notice. He chuckled to himself. "That robot won't know what hit it. But I will..." ((The next roll will determine how effective the stun blast will be for when the initial firing occurs. 1-3, slight stun, and Blitz will retain most of his effeciency. 4-6, major stun. Anything Blitz attempts will be hampered quite a bit.)) [dice=6][rand=5490938889876183475146779557819030287551459875504688097216869851231]

As Blitz blasted through the base, his sensors suddenly began shrieking at him.
WARNING:Energy buildup at projected exit point. Calculating new exit point.
There was a pause in the alert, as the android's CPU began whirring softly.
Calculation complete. New exit route projected. Execute.
And in a blur of movement, Blitz dashed towards a wall, and then UP it, using his sabers, combined with his speed, to go through the ceiling floor by floor, using the layout of the walls, which were lined up all the way to the top of the facility, to his advantage.
And in a matter of a few seconds, Blitz came flying out through the roof of the building, his speed carrying him high enough into the air that he would have vanished into the sun from the viewpoint of someone below him.
Now... where was his target?

Rix bolted throughout the facility, his eyes darting about frantically. Nega had to be around somewhere - he wouldn't send his robots to such a location unless there was something he really wanted, and if he really wanted it he would not pass up the opportunity to show up himself. Rix's ear caught what he thought was the sound of Nega's voice - he reacted instantly with anger, his teeth clenching, as he darted towards the source of the noise.

High up above the base, Nega was charging his stun mechanism to full capacity... And then, suddenly, the very target he had sought decided to appear, but at a different location than was expected. ... Or was it as unexpected a tactic as one would think...? The point of the turret was aimed -directly- for the emerging android, as if Nega had predicted the very point of exit that Blitz was to make. During the entire struggle down below, one of the many combatants from within had managed to discreetly stick a bead onto the rampaging robot, and once that was taken care of, all Nega had to do was track its movements in the final seconds that it was playing 'hide and seek'. And pay off, it did. The calculating, mad gentlemen only laughed heartily as the switch was flipped, the resulting discharge of the stunbeam ripping through the air as it scrambled messily towards its intended target...! The android's eyes widened in what seemed to be surprise, moments before the stun blast struck. For a brief moment, the android's vision lost focus, becoming indistinct pixels before he began to fall back towards the building's roof. Inside the android's head, several warning were all going off, alerting him that several systems took a major hit to their efficiency, and that escape was advised.
It was fortunate that the systems allowing Blitz to fully feel emotion at the moment weren't active, because otherwise, the feline android might have started panicking.
Instead, he calmly told his repair systems to restore full function to motor control, before diving back towards the building. He'd get back inside, out of range of that weapon, and reconsider his attack strategy.

Nega grinned. Everything was going according to his plans. The only thing that could have made this turn of events even better would be if he had some mode of capturing the android whilst he was out of commission for the time being... Ah. Wait a moment. Nega had that part planned out, too. Four of his machines that had yet to enter the fray all flew towards the falling android, all of them situated in a cross formation. As they sailed upwards through the air, getting closer to their prize, the four robots all raised an arm, and fired towards their center. The result was some form of electronic net, which seemed to be completely made up of the same 'material' as the stun blast had been. As soon as Blitz had touched this net, the four robots each criss-crossed eachothers' paths, as if they had rehearsed this very set before, in an effort to take advantage of the android's current downtime to render him immobile, and secure. Nega grinned to himself as he witnessed the ensnaring take place. "Such eloquence... Such beauty...! That is the true power of my schemes, and the very essence of my achievements. It is for these reasons that, someday soon, this land shall fall to my iron fist! But, for now... It's time to go home... My window browsing is done for the day... And look! I get to take with me a gift-wrapped action figure...! Oh, it's going to be much fun to take him apart and put him back together again, I do say... ha ha...!!" With the waving motion of his hand, he turned to begin making his way back to his home base... (( Roll for the strength of the stunning power-net, in comparison to Blitz, if he so manages to recover from the former blast. )) [dice=6][rand=9431640665048969563221380020852145424135562404315284332636142275]

As the net contracted around him, the android let out a... surprisingly realistic cry of pain, and he feebly attempted to break free, but the combined force of both stun weapons rendered him effectively helpless...
And fully aware of his surroundings for what would most likely be a very long trip.
