@leda@ After several hours of rest, the pink pangolin's eyes sluggishly began to blink. This... definitely wasn't her bed. Or her room. And even though she wasn't really in pain, there was still something uncomfortable about her situation. Leda hazily blinked her eyes again. "Where am I?"

There was the sound of a chair creaking, and a familiar voice spoke up. "Station Square Hospital... you hit your head."

Bunnie's ears twitched ever so lightly and she glanced up as the pangolin awoke. She shifted in her seat and stood, clasping her hands together in front of her and looking concerned. "H'lo hon..." she said, her voice lacking it's usual chipper tone "Do ya'll feel alright?"

@leda@ "I guess..." Leda quietly answered, groggily pushing herself into a sitting position. "Mostly I'm just kinda woozy... Maybe I'm doped up on something." The pangolin rubbed the back of her head, and found a gauzy bandage amidst her scales. Guess that confirms that I hit my head. It occurred to her that she could not recall how she'd hit her head, but found it inconsequential at that moment.
"Well, I'm glad you guys are here," she finally said after a pause. "I know I'd have been freaked out to wake up here all alone."

"Just a liiittle doped up, yeah..." Of course, Raki didn't get much farther in what she was saying, as at that moment there was a knock at the door, followed by the appearance of a familiar face. "May I come in?"

Leda winced slightly at the knocking; apparently the pangolin was a bit hypersensitive to sound at the moment. " Yeah, sure," she mumbled with a short rub of her temples. "Just please keep your voice down." That taken care of, Leda's eyes began roaming the room in search of something to drink -- not that she was sure she could get up to obtain it even if she found anything.

Bogert nodded and dropped his voice. " I'll keep my voice down, then. I hope you don't mind if I brought my friend..." That said, he quietly moved into the room, opening the door a bit more to allow someone else in as well... Same person from the chilidog stand, and once again with a hoodie covering his head and obscuring his face. This time, however, what fur he had visible was... extremely white. Once in the room, he fidgeted a backed himself against a wall, his body language clearly describing his discomfort. Raki didn't pay much attention to the newcomers, instead picking up on Leda's glances, and stood eagerly at attention at the side of the bed. "Do need something?"

Bunnie on the other hand turned her head slightly to give the two a sideways look, suddenly seeming to become very distressed. She glanced over at Leda for a moment, then back at the two again, subconsciously wrapping her organic hand around her mechanical elbow. "Howdy Bogert... " she said slowly, her voice sounding strained. She pulled in a breathe and seemed to force herself to finish speaking " ... Who's yer friend."

@leda@ "Thirsty," Leda simply replied to Raki, making a short attempt to get farther up before quickly nixing the idea. It was frustrating; she wasn't really in pain (aside from the piercing sound of Bogert's knocking), but moreso just overall felt physically weak.
Giving up on her mobility attemps for the moment, the pangolin leaned back into her pillows, adjusting her bed so that the head would sit her partially upright. It sure was nice of everyone to come... Leda commented to herself, glancing around between the familiar faces (and the one unfamiliar one). She could recall other times when she'd been in worse shape, and no one had seemed to care much about it. The fact that three people were there before she'd even awakened left her incredibly moved, and before she could stop it a few stray tears brimmed her eyes.

"I'll get you some water." And with that, she was off. Once Raki was out of the room, Bogert tilted his head in Bunnie's direction and frowned a bit. "'Tade'." Being mentioned apparently did nothing to help Dash's nervousness, and he'd seemed become intensely interested in his own wringing hands. Head bowed, he mumbled something quietly... "Is she okay?"

This only seemed to make the rabbit appear even more distressed. She did another look back and forth then nodded. "Y-yeah," she swallowed at the sudden lump in her throat and slowly began to approach the tenrec. Her arm cautiously reached out and she nudged at his hood just enough she could get a peek at his face. Not a robot. Apparently Bogert must have fixed whatever had happened... Though, he wasn't the same way she'd remembered him from before either. Was she seeing things or was he now albino? Well. Ignoring that for now, she thinned her lips and frowned " Ah think ya'll need to talk to her, hon," she whispered to him, and then, lowering her voice even more " But Ah warn ya. Yer gonna break her heart." And then she drew back her hand, letting the tenrec's hood fall back in place. She turned and and took a few steps back, seeming to perk up a bit "Welp Sugah," she said, now speaking to Leda "Ah'm glad to see ya'll are alright," and then a sheepish smile "But ya'll're gonna have to forgive me a moment. Lady room's a callin' y'see. Ah'll be back soon!" And with that, she walked out.

"Sure," Leda nodded to Bunnie. "I'd rather you leave for a bit than wee on your own leg. Besides, that could get rusty." The pangolin chuckled softly; she was beginning to feel a little more like herself. "Thanks for coming, you guys," she said to Bogert and the tenrec of mystery. Leda failed to ask any questions about 'Tade', as she failed to recognize the name or the glimpse she caught of his white face when Bunnie had raised his hood. "I don't know how I got here, but I guess it must've been bad if I was hospitalized. But, actually I feel fine. I hope I can go home soon."

Bogert cleared his throat. An odd action, seeing as it was pointless for him, not being organic and all but... it seemed the right thing to do. "Well actually..." "I did it. It was my fault."

@leda@ "......Huh?" The pango girl blinked, as though her brain couldn't quite register the information it'd received. Because it really couldn't. Leda leaned forward slightly in her bed, struggling to get a better view of the tenrec's face. Her mouth opened to ask a question, or maybe several questions, but none of them ever made it out. In the she just turned to Bogert with eyes pleading for help.

"It's my fault you got hurt. I didn't mean to... I didn't mean to hurt you... I just... I couldn't help it... I couldn't..." he trailed off speaking and wandered over to the window instead, gazing quietly off into the cityscape. "... it might just be best for you to ignore him."

@leda@ Leda seemed to shrink; had she had visible ears, they probably would've folded backwards. Her emotions had become very mixed. Sure it was upsetting to find herself face-to-face with the one that had landed her in the hospital, but on the other hand, she was basically fine, and didn't even know what exactly had happened. Leda found herself in a confused haze of anger, sadness, defensiveness, and morbid curiosity. Overall it was very unsettling.
"Bogert?" she meekly called, hugging her knees. "'Will you please go find Raki for me?" But the pangolin's eyes weren't focused on the would-be human; they'd centered on 'Tade'.

"Er... if that's what you want, yes..." And with that, he left. Dash, on the other hand, just continued to stare out the window, not saying a word.

Dash looked over, then, as if debating wither he should stay or do as she said, glanced out the window one more time before wandering over to her bedside. Still not said anything other then that initial bout.

@leda@ The pangolin's arms remained wrapped around her legs, her chin resting lightly on her knees. Something about the guy felt sort of... familiar... but she was pretty sure she didn't know any men with white fur. She still hadn't gotten much of a look at his face, anyway. "What's your name?" Leda asked after a brief silence.

At this question Dash shifted his weight from one foot to another. Bogert had made of habit to referring to him as "Tade"... but... He'd hurt this girl. Unintentionally, but still. The least he could do was tell the truth when asked. "Dashiel."

"....Dash?" Leda's breath caught for a moment, and without warning she reached forward and whipped the hood back from his head. Yes... Yes, it was Dash, but... The pangolin's face twisted with a mix of relief, worry, and confusion. "Dash?! Wha... what happened to you?!" Why didn't he show himself sooner?? Was he afraid of how I'd react to what he looks like? ... Oh geez, I don't even care, why even waste time with it? At that moment the relief won out, and simply happy to even see him again, Leda nearly tumbled from her bed as she wrapped him in a tight hug. " Oh Chaos, I've missed you!"

Dash’s breath caught as the girl hugged him. He… honestly hadn’t been expecting that. And at first, he was completely bewildered at even why she would do that, but then, when he heard her speak… it became a bit clearer. He’d almost forgotten that this world had an alternative version of himself- and obviously, this girl must of considered that version of himself to be someone special to her. Suddenly the rabbit’s warning of “you’ll break her heart” made so much more sense. Unfortunately, it also caused his stomach to lurch with a sudden wave of nausea. He’d already hurt her before, when he had suddenly changed back into a robot- and badly enough to send her to the hospital. He already felt guilty enough for it, that he hadn’t been able to control himself, to be able to prevent it… that had been bad enough. But again? He didn’t want to hurt her again, to break her heart. But what was he going to do? Now she thought he was someone he really wasn’t and… So confused. What now? He whimpered quietly as the girl hugged him, mentally grabbing at straws. He could tell her the truth, but that’d still hurt her. He could lie to her, but that’d probably hurt her worse in the long run. Long run. … Run? … Running sounded nice right about now. His gaze wandered over to the door… Maybe he should run… it wouldn’t fix the problem, but then he could avoid it… he’d never really had problems he could run from before… ah, yes, because no such problems have ever really existed. Probably the same with this problem. After all, if he ran, that'd still probably hurt her. And thus, he was at a complete and utter loss of what to do. He’d be damned if he did, damned if he didn’t, and utterly helpless to do anything but what he didn’t want to do. Just like every other time of his life, completely helpless and completely unable to help. So he cried.

@leda@ Was he... crying? Leda blinked and pulled back from the tenrec slightly, looking worriedly into his dribbling eyes. "Dash...? Dash, what's wrong?" She frowned and wiped the tears from his cheeks carefully, her heart sinking further and further into her bossom. "Dash.... it's okay. Whatever's happened, you can tell me. I'll understand... I promise I'll understand."
The pangolin closed her eyes and pulled him into a second embrace, petting the two stray quills at his forehead backward with one hand. He must have been through something horrible... He endured a lot of awful things, she realized, but... This was such a severe change, and Dash had never wept like this before. She vicariously felt his pain, and wished only to calm and comfort him. Leda Rae nuzzled her forehead against Dash's and continued to stroke his quills, and before she could stop herself had grazed a gentle kiss on his cheek. "It's okay... It's okay..."

Even if he shouldn't of... the girl's actions were extremely comforting, and he found himself holding her close and he continued to weep. He tried not to cry, he really did, but he felt so lost at the moment... so much he'd been through where he hadn't been able to cry, and now for once he could... though now it seemed like he couldn't stop. It didn't help that now he was sinking back into what had happened instead of what was now, either... "I can't... there's nothing... I..."At this point, however, Raki re-entered the room. She'd been sent to fetch some water, but apparently she'd decided water wasn't enough, having brought back a pitcher of ice water, several cans of soda, and some plastic cups. And it seemed that she'd also made Bogert carry even more soda cans, along with some bottles of juice. No one could say she wasn't thorough. Raki blinked in surprise at the odd scene- this certainly wasn't what she'd expected to come back to. "Erm... I... got you something to drink." Bogert was less surprised at the scene, simply tilting his head and sighing.

@leda@ She had to be strong. Dash needed her. She had to be the rock here.
But despite her efforts, Leda Rae's sensitive empathy made Dash's pain her own, and tears also began to trickle down her own cheeks. The pangolin gulped forcefully and squeezed the tenrec in her arms more tightly, struggling to keep her voice level as she said, "Don't worry. I'm here for you."
She had just nudged him to sit beside her on her hospital bed when the other visitors returned. Leda hastily wiped the moisture from her face in a feeble attempt to hide what she'd been doing. "Th-Thanks, Raki," she greeted with a small sniffle. Hidden from the view of the others (or at least she assumed) in between their bodies and among the piled blankets, the pangolin gently clasped her hands around Dash's and gave him a squeeze.

Bunnie had returned by this time (Her makeup now suspiciously thicker), but hadn't re-entered the room entirely. Instead she stood tentatively in the doorway, debating on whether or not she should come back in or just wait outside.

And thus, the tenrec continued to cry, curled up at the edge of the bed. God knows how long it'd take him to snap out of this... The other tenrec in the room just continued to tilt her head. STRANGE GUY CRYING LIKE A GIRL ON HER BEST FRIEND'S HOSPITAL BED. THESE ARE THINGS THAT DON'T HAPPEN EVERYDAY, SO NEEDLESS TO SAY, SHE WAS THE MIGHT BIT PERPLEXED. "... what is this."

@leda@ That wasn't a promising tone. Suddenly Leda remembered how much her roommate disapproved of Dash, because of incidents just like this. Her only hope would be that Raki hadn't recognized him with his new look. "Put your hood up!!" she whisper-shouted, hastily tugging it back over his quills.
"Everything's fine, Raki!" the pangolin called in a painfully overly-cheery voice, accompanied by a nervous laugh. "Thanks for getting all those drinks, heh. I'll have to do something extra nice for you when we get home!"

Yeah, that pretty much made up the rabbit's mind right there. No staying in the room for her right now. But first... She stepped up to Raki and tugged gently on her arm " Ah think we ought to give 'em some time alone..."
