@leda@ "GAHH!!" The pangolin leaned over and peered at her fallen bedmate on the floor, her expression somewhere between surprised and concerned. "Dash?? Are you okay?"

Suddenly there was a metallic clank and the sound of metal feet shuffling quickly over the linoleum floor. Within seconds Bunnie had slid off from the bed and was now crouching down beside Dash, placing her left hand down on his shoulder for comfort. "Honey, are ya'll alright?!" she asked in concern.

And... he was on the floor. A clean white linoleum floor. And wondering how he got there, and what was wrong with his hand. But easiest to solve mystery first- so, therefor, he was now staring at his hand. It was... his hand. No gloves (which probably would of been at least slightly helpful with the whole spines thing), just his hand. For the longest time, he simply stared at it, as if he were seeing the most amazing thing in the world. In fact, he probably was amazed, as after awhile of that, he looked up to Bunny and Leedz, and with a tone of awe mummbled... "... I'm not a robot..."

@leda@ "....A robot?" Leda Rae blinked. "Of course you're not a robot."

Bunnie gaped at him for a moment. Glancing toward Leda she bit her lip, remembering the pangolin didn't remember what she had witnessed earlier. Unsure exactly how to respond, she looked back at the tenrec. "Um. Ya'll need any help?" she offered.

After a moment, things came back to him. Of course, of course he’s not a robot. Bogert had fixed that. And he was here in this hospital room because he’d asked Bogert to bring him here, so he could apologize to… that girl, the pangolin. Yeah. Things were coming back now. Of course he wasn’t a robot. Of course.A lump formed in the tenrec’s throat- he’d come here to apologize to the girl, but he’d just then remembered the situation he was in prior- she thought he was someone else, apparently. How could he break that to her? Running came back to mind. Glancing around the room though, he noticed someone was… missing. Someone, that if he ran off, needed to come with him so that he could get home. Looking over to the rabbit who's hand was on his shoulder, he asked, “ Where’s Bogert??”

"He dun run off," she answered, "Wouldn't speak a word why though."

The tenrec's expression was best described as absolute terror. "I- geh- he... he what?!" Cue upcoming panic attack.

@leda@ The pangolin frowned at that reaction. "I'm sure he'll be back tho..." Leda mumbled slowly.

He'll be back?? He'll be back! OH, AURORA, HE'D BETTER COME BACK! What if Bogert DIDN'T come back?? What'd he do then?? How'd he get home?! WHAT IF HE TURNED BACK INTO A ROBOT AGAIN?! OH, AURORA! Needless to say, the tenrec's state of mind didn't really improve, and he still looked terrified.

"Come on hon," Bunnie said, standing up and tugging gently at him. "Let's get ya'll up offa the floor. Ain't no sense gettin' yerself tore up,"

With some struggling (as he wasn't quite used to being... well, himself again) the tenrec was once again back up onto his feet. Glancing around the room he confirmed the fact that, yes, there was no Bogert. "If he doesn't come back, h-how am I going to get home??"

@leda@ "...I don't think Bogert's all that essential in you going home, Dash..." Leda interjected, her voice somewhere between uncertain and worried. "But, if you're still not feeling well after whatever happened, I can take you. Once I get out of here, anyway."

The tenrec seemed rather confused, giving the pangolin a rather bewildered look as he asked, "I... you... you know how to get me back home?"

@leda@ And the pangolin became equally bewildered. "You just live downstairs..."

Bunnie's throat constricted. She wanted desperately to say something, knowing full well she was witnessing a train wreck in progress. But nothing she could think of seemed like it would cool down the inevitable flames. She felt the hair on her neck stiffen as she watched the two helplessly.

The bewildered expression remained. "Downstairs?? I don't live downsta-"And then it hit him (again)- he'd forgotten that this girl knew an alternate version of himself. Well, this'll be awkward. "... I... I'm not... uhm..."

@leda@ The pangolin wilted slightly. "Well, yeah, I know you technically live with that.... organization now. But your apartment is still yours; Tom hasn't emptied it and given it to another tenant."

"... Honey," Bunnie suddenly spoke in a weak voice. "I think we's got a bit of a misunderstandin' here... Ya'll were out cold when Bogert explained it to me..." She nudged Dash gently, eyeing him expectantly.

Dash turned the rabbit with a blink. "So then you know?? Can... can you explain to her then? I mean... I... I don't...", he gestured to Leedz as he spoke, apparently having trouble with his words.

The tenrec just gave the rabbit a look better suited to a kicked puppy, then turned to the pangolin. "I-I-I'm... I..."He gulped, as if clearing his throat would rid him of his anxiety. "I-I'm not the guy you think I am." Well, that could of been said better.

Dash shot a nervous glance over to Bunnie, so far the pangolin girl's reaction wasn't... well, it wasn't too bad but... this wasn't the least awkward moment in the world either. "I'm... I mean... I am Dash, but not the one you know... because... uh..." He gestured with his hands, trying to think of a way to say the truth without it sounding absolutely ridiculous."... I'm from another dimension." Nope, sounded ridiculous.

@leda@ ".....

"..........................................
". . . . . . . . . . . ."
The pangolin's face twisted into a scowl. "Another dimension? Do you think I'm that STUPID?! Dash, if you wanted get rid of me, you could've at least dignified me with the truth!!" Turning and burying her head beneath her pillow, the only other thing Leda said that could be made out was a muffled, "Just... GET OUT!!"

The tenrec's ears drooped (although not very much, they weren't the droopy sort), and he slumped. If she thought that part insulted her intelligence, then the rest of it probably wouldn't sound any better. "I..." he began, trying to figure what to say to diffuse the situation, to get everything explained nice and proper. Nothing came up. Instead... "I'll leave now."And with that, the rather depressed seeming tenrec shuffled off towards the door.

Bunnie pressed her lips together as she watched Dash leave. Her ears drooped, and with a solemn gaze she turned her focus toward the pangolin. "... Honey, Ah really do think he was tellin' the truth."

@leda@ It was unclear whether or not Bunnie's voice could've penetrated the pillow pulled so tightly around the pangolin's head, but even if it had, her crying would've drowned it out anyway. Leda Rae let go of her pillow with one hand, but only to bury herself beneath the blankets as well. It was bad enough to have a broken heart without having people watch you bawl about it.

The rabbit's head bowed. She could feel her heart splitting in two at the sight, and she found herself unable to decide what to do. Should she stay and try to comfort Leda, or give her space and perhaps try to catch up with Dash? [dice=2] After a long moment of mental ping-pong, she finally hefted a deep breath and turned toward the door. As much as she would have liked to have given her a big hug and comforted her, she had known the pangolin long enough to know that at times like these the best option was probably to give her some space. She gave a brief glance back from in front of the exit. " Ah'll leave ya'll be for now... " The door closed behind her.[rand=5691960908512784203047380175640831012529014825992406025824080636133]
