Resson turned to face Nicole as he worked on Rush's arm. "I don't care, but do not slow us down or get in the way." Resson blinked in interest. "You found him? That's a relief... Flex is still a valuable part of our fighting force. I don't know why you would leave him behind. Did it ever occur to you that he may become more competent if he knew I was in danger?" He finished the repairs on Rush's arm just as the large battle mech entered the room. "..Oh dear." He made a commanding gesture up at the enemy combatant, his finger extended. "R-Series! Assemble and eliminate the enemy!" "I am going to hide!" He darted behind a desk.

"Well yeah, but--" Rush never got to finish his reply, as the mech loomed before them at that moment. "--ah, nuts." He growled in annoyance and armed his busters again, building up a charge. [dice=6] Murphy saw the projectile coming and swatted it aside with a sweep of the mech's right arm. Since the bullets hadn't worked very well, he tried activating the lasers next. [dice=6] EVE had but a moment to analyze the lazer sent fired by the MkII and charged the energy in her blade to match, holding it up again defensively as the lazer hit. The force of the impact skid the Humanoid robot back a foot or two, but the gamble was effective. The two energy sources were charged with identicle particles, thus repelling one another and making it seem as if EVE was slicing the lazer itself in two, the two sides dijecting off to the sides. Once the flow of counter energies had ceased, EVE drew the blade back and rushed forward towards the MKII, attempting to literally disarm the mech by severing one of it's limbs completely. [dice=6] The arm EVE had intended to cut off narrowly avoided her strike as Murphy twisted the mech out of the way. The pilot gritted his teeth. This robot was good -- possibly too good. he needed to get rid of her quickly before the other robots began attacking as well. Unfortunately, he wouldn't get that chance. "HEY SCRAPBALL! Learn some manners about how to treat a lady, why don'cha!" With terrifying speed, Rush dashed forward and hopped up on the knee joint for the mech's left leg, having built up a full charge and glowing faintly with contained energy. "Shit!" The soldier flailed the leg wildly trying to throw Rush off. "WhoooooaAaAaAa!" The corgi clung for his life to the appendage, clamping down hard enough to leave imprints of his fingers in the steel as it jerked about like a bucking bronco. Well, that wasn't working. With a hateful glare, Murphy aimed the right machine gun at Rush and fired. Rush saw that coming a mile away. With unhuman reflexes he leaped away, allowing the mech to do damage to its own leg as he fired off his super shot in midair. [dice=6] [dice=6] "Damn it!" Murphy roared with fury as he ducked the mech down below the projectile and activated its jets, sending it forward in a ramming maneuver. [dice=6] [dice=6] The corgi's eyes widened. A fraction of a second was all the time he had to act; letting his battle tactics programming momentarily take over, he slid between the mech's legs like a baseball runner seeking to touch base, narrowly avoiding the strike as the mech slammed into the wall on the opposite side of the room, sending tables, chairs and machinery flying everywhere. The electrical fire began to rapidly spread. Smoke filled the room. "Sonuva--!" Rush began cursing a blue streak in binary as he realized his father was hiding under one of those tables, not to mention Nicole. He broke off his attack as he began rooting through the debris. "Dad! Nicole! Are you guys oka -- ARGH!!" Murphy had recovered faster than the corgi had expected. With a cry of triumph he threw the Big Foot MkII's left arm out in a devestating backhand, swatting the robot aside like a pesky fly. Caught off-guard by his mistake, Rush flew through the air like an orange missile and hit the far wall hard enough to become embedded within it, his body sparking and crackling with damage as his systems struggled to reset themselves. Panting heavily with bloodshot eyes, Murphy turned his attention to the remaining threats in the room. One down; two to go. Cackling in a voice that bordered on insanity, he swept the room with his lasers, seeking to eliminate any and all opponents. [dice=6] Luckily, Resson was hiding behind a particularly tenacious desk (though it did suffer some noticable damage), and as such was safe from harm. He contemplated an way he could help with the battle - his technokinesis only worked on his own machines, none of which were present, and physically he was quite a pushover. He settles for leaping out to pull Nicole under the desk with him.[rand=14610766636055017124431812069991656911212176737052007997104135010091]

((Rolling vs the 4 that was there before the boards farted)) [dice=6] Unfortunately this time EVE was too close to the Mech itself to get her energy blade up in time to block the lazer fire. EVE was thrown back, and tumbled quite a ways before regaining her ground, several dented scorch marks in her outer plating. EVE rushed in again, this time going low and attempting to take one of the mech's legs out from under it. [dice=6][rand=68856213985092973479121992558217306164118743865615979104852064822]

[dice=6] The foot EVE had been aiming for was quite suddenly not there. Neither was the entire mech, for that matter. Sensing the attack before it happened, Murphy had maneuvered the Big Foot MkII into a short jump (the only kind it could perform in this room) and now aimed to land on EVE's head. [dice=6][rand=8917721494879993827175213675077774848637353001484192832541836745]

[dice=6] EVE quickly twisted her body around, dodging the mech's foot and skidding to a stop shortly behind it. The android braced herself for another lunge, this time attempting to thrust the energy blade into the bulk of the mech. [dice=6] "AAAAARGH!" Murphy screamed as the energy blade quickly and efficiently tore a gaping hole into the mech's right side. The machine staggered sideways, oil and other coolants spraying from the wound like a grisly parody of blood, as the soldier gritted his teeth and turned his full wrath upon EVE. "YOU SONUVA--!" Ignoring the catacophany of warning sirens informing him that he had just recieved critical damage, Murphy activated all four of his weapons at the same time again as he fired in EVE's general direction, sending bullets and laser blasts flying everywhere. [dice=6] EVE quickly pulled away from the mech as it's weapons activated. She quickly darted off to the side, holding her blad up as a sheild to block some of the stray lazer fire and bullets she didn't manage to dodge, sparks and small bits of energy discharge littered the area. EVE kicked off the ground and leapt back at the mech, twisting her body and attempting to send her heel into it's side. In all the hubbub of the fight, Resson suddenly remembers something. "Hm.. yes, now would be a good a time as any to do that." He holds up a hand and snaps his fingers. ... Seemingly nothing happened. "All right, now that's out of the way."

[dice=6] The kick never landed; with lightning speed Murphy reached up and deflected it with a sweep of the mech's only remaining arm. Then he activated his jets, using up the last of their fuel as he blazed forward in another ramming maneuver. [dice=6] The corgi FINALLY managed to extricate himself from the crater in the wall shaped like his body. He fell to the floor limply, vision distorted with static to the point of incohesion. All he knew at that moment was pain. His senses (except for Sight) had all deactivated to conserve power for repairs; it stunned him that he could be this injured merely from a single attack. No. No, it would not end like this. His father was depending on him. ...! HIS FATHER--! Rush ground his teeth hard enough to spit sparks. Through sheer force of will, he ordered his body back into motion and up off the ground. He had to find Resson. He had to make sure Dad was okay. His vision cleared somewhat; the battle was continuing nearby. Rush tried to ignore it as he turned his attention to the rest of the room, which was by this point a lost cause as the mech rapidly destroyed its environment due to its swift movements and large size. Somewhere amidst the random debris and fragments of machinery lay his father and Nicole, in who-knows-what condition. What if they were injured? Even now their life could be draining away while Rush stood there and felt sorry for himself. The corgi growled in anger at his own weakness. Systematically he shut off the alerts and warnings that were flashing at him and strongly recommending he not move because it might worsen his condition. That done, he stood up straight and broke into a sprint for the largest debris pile laying at the point of the room where the mainframe computer had once stood, behind where EVE and the Big Foot MkII were now locked in mortal combat. Luckily, both opponents seemed too preoccupied with each other to pay much attention to him. He slipped by unnoticed. “Dad!” He called out quietly, trying not to attract the enemy’s attention but at the same time hoping for some sort of reply. “Dad, where are you? Are you okay?” His eyes scanned the area – nothing stood out to him. All was wrecked and twisted, and there was a decent electrical fire going on at the back wall, which happened to be spreading in this direction… “Shit.” Switching to binary, he began cursing emphatically as he leaped onto the nearest pile and began digging at it like the dog he was modeled after. [dice=6] EVE quickly jumped up as the MkII rushed toward her, planting a foot onto it's shoulder and kicking off and landing behind it. EVE turned and rushed the Mech while it was still turned away and attempted to hurl a punch into it. [dice=6][rand=65905663937247849866599198871867219593327224581035417183682132178]

This couldn't keep going on, or they were all going to get killed, especially if the Bigfoot's power core blew. Given enough time, she mighthave been able to remotely hack the mech's systems and simply shut it down, but she didn't have the time, and that would also put the pilot in danger anyway. SO instead, she used the system she was already hacked into. Taking advantage to the actual fire, she not only triggered the fire suppression systems for the room, but also all the systems in the general area of one of the escape routes she'd calculated. Immediatly thick white foam began to fill the room and cooridors, making it harder to see than on a very foggy day. As Rush pulled them out of the debris, Nicole grabbed his and Resson's hands and began tugging them towards the direction they needed to go. "Come on, this way! There's a fire exit we can use to get out of here!"

Resson had various objections to being lead out of the hallway by the like a small child, but he did desperately want to leave that place, and he was losing his vision rather fast. He tromped along behind Nicole the best he could, wiping some of the foam and fog off his glasses as he did so.

[dice=6] Murphy spun at the last second, rotating the side of the mech out of the way as he prepared to counterattack. And then hell broke loose. "WHAT THE--?!" He bellowed like a mad bull as the entire room was inundated with carbon dioxide foam from the walls and cieling. The mech flailed wildly, its bulky arm cleaving through the whiteness, unable to see anything past the foam covering the windshield. A brief attempt to wipe it away failed; the machine gun at the end of the arm was not built for such tasks. Why hadn't they included windshield wipers in this thing?! Murphy tilted his head back and screamed in anger, for his comrades who had gone unavenged and for his own frustration at his incompetence, as his prey escaped. Had it been anyone else besides Nicole, Rush would've torn their arm off in anger. But since it was her, he remained silent and did nothing except gave a wicked grin that bespoke of not-entirely-innocent thoughts. Still, being dragged along like so much luggage wasn't exactly appealing, so he quickly matched her pace and ran alongside her. He still refused to let go of her hand, though. EVE recoiled as the fire retardant foam began to pour into the room, still getting doused herself. She took a few steps back and wiped some of the foam away from her optical sensors, looking around for the others.

EVE turned as she received her new instructions and looked around for Cyro. Once she found him she quickly made her way to Cyro and scooped him up in one of her arms, getting a good amount of Flame retardant foam on him if he didn't get covered in some already. She quickly turned and did a quick biometric scan around the area, locating Resson and the fire escape. She quickly caught up with the three of them and ran along side the group, setting Cyro down if he had any objection to being carried.
